There is this saying, or quote or whatever you want to call it, about love.

"He set fire to the world around him, but never let a flame touch her"

I always thought that that was the only way to love. That that was what love was supposed to be like. Protected and warm.

Let me just say, that quote is total bullshit.

Love with him isn't like that at all. It's the complete opposite.

He would set fire to everything, burn down all he has, including me. As long as I was in his arms at night. As long as I slept in his bed.

The only thing that mattered to him, is that I was his, no matter how many times he hurt me. On purpose or by accident. It didn't matter.

Because he would heal me. He was my healer. He was the only one who could heal the burns he made on my skin, because it was him.

So yes, he set fire to the world around him, but he would let it consume me, only to save me just before I die and heal me the way only he could.
