Marinette and Damian had decided to take a slow day. They had grabbed a blanket and positioned themselves in front of the fireplace with some books.

Alfred the cat had followed them out of curiosity and stayed for the roaring fire that warmed his belly. Titus had curled up near Alfred the cat, but not so far away that he couldn't protect his boy, if need be. It wasn't that often that his boy relaxed.

Damian smirked as he read his book. He looked over to see his girlfriend enthralled by hers, Phantom of the Opera.

"I don't get the appeal." he spoke, glancing at her book.

"How about you try reading it?" she teased.

"Only if you read mine." he suggested, holding up his book by Stephen King.

"Fine." Mari sated, "After I finish my book."

Damian glanced over and buried his face back in his book and smirked. He knew full well he'd be yelled at once she realized the horrors of the story, but she'd also sneak in to cuddle with him later at night.
