Marinette had become the light in his life. He ever knew that when he asked her out that it would be this way.
She showed him that caring about people, other then family, wasn't a weakness. People were full of surprises and that kindness left an impact on them.
She showed him that listening to someone wasn't an annoyance and sometimes those moments were all it took to make someone's day.
She showed him that having a space where you felt safe enough to relax was a good thing. It was okay to still be cautious, but he also needed to relax.
She showed him it was okay to dream of a better future.
Marinette was his light in the darkness he was born into. She never faulted him for his actions or what he had been taught. She helped him see he didn't need to be that boy that sought approval. She showed him that he didn't have to live up to someone else's expectations.
Damian Wayne could be Damian Al Ghul-Wayne. He could be himself.
