I sat in the common room beside Daphne as she braided my hair while Blaise came in through the common room entrance, not even a handful of people in the room

"I've been asked to tell you all something!" He said loudly as the eyes fell on him as he stared down at the writing on the parchment as he tried to read it

"Nine days ago, Draco Malfoy was attacked by a hippogriff, and apparently something about the brightest star in cosmos or some shit like that... but today, like the Phoenix from the ashes, he says he rises to vanquish..." he started to say as he trailed off and I cast a glance to Daphne before looking back to Blaise who was flicking through the pages

"This is... this is far too many pages, I can't read it. Draco Malfoy everybody" he said before chucking the parchment into the bin as I let out a snort at his actions while he came over and sat down beside us.

"It was his own fault" I hummed as I turned and watched the two of them roll their eyes

"Not again, Lia"

"It's his own fault for calling him a bloody chicken and an ugly brute!" I said loudly, talking about Buackbeak as I turned to look at them while Blaise shook his head before glancing at Daphne who sat, tying off the braid with a bobble

"Have fun Daphne" he said as he got up and started to leave as she whipped around towards him

"What?! No, Blaise! You can't leave just me with Amelia!" She said after him as I turned to her

"Wow, thanks Daphne" I snorted as she grinned at me

"You know where I am for the moral support" she said with a wink while patting my shoulder gently while we laughed together on the couch

"My eyes are killing me" I told her groaning as I flopped my head onto her shoulder with closed eyes, rubbing at them, my body aching from the quidditch practice I had just had

"Well then go to sleep"

"I don't want to"

"I'll get Blaise"

"You're a monster-" I mumbled as she cut across me

"Blaise!" She yelled as a door opened and I jumped to my feet

"I'll go! I'll go!" I said to her as she grinned while Blaise came up the stairs

"What?"

"Nothing" I told him hastily as he turned to me and rolled his eyes after staring at me for a minute

"Let me guess, refusing to go to sleep?" He asked as Daphne nodded as I hastily shook my head before sprinting down the steps

"I will carry you into your dorm again and lock the door!"

"Can't catch me!" I yelled crashing into the door and flopping onto my bed with a small smile before getting back up and going back to the common room a minute or so later

"Did he believe it?" I asked quietly as she turned and nodded her head

"Just like every other time" she laughed as I sat down next to her

"Some men are foolish" I told her shrugging as she grinned at me

"I'm not foolish!" A voice said loudly from behind me as I jumped and smacked Blaise

"Funny that, you're not a man either-"

"Blaise! You fucking bastard!" I yelled before laughing as he moved around the couch and sprawled out across the two of us

"You comfy?" I asked amused as he nodded and the common room greeted another person as Draco walked over to the couch we were on with a disgruntled look on his face as he sat in the space beside me

"Don't you look happy" I scoffed as he stared at me and I tried to hide my laughter

"What's wrong with you? You're finally out of the hospital wing, you should be happy"

"How can I be happy when these dementors are doing my head in?" he grumbled as I untied Blaise's laces, smiling at him as he stared at me blankly

"You're not the only one unhappy about it. But it's not our fault they're here"

"How not?"

"How so?" I retorted, staring at him as he looked up from where he was picking the bandages on his arm, fumbling with the sling while looking at me

"Well you're one of the reasons as to why they're here. Along with your other siblings and your mother"

"Bull fucking shit!" I said loudly as I stared at him

"Please Amelia, the next thing we know is that your father will be in the castle, looking around for you to help him around" he muttered bitterly as I stood up instantly, pushing Blaise's legs to the floor but I took no notice as I slapped Draco across the face as forcefully as I could, the sound echoing around the room while a pink colour rose to his cheek as he held it in pain

"Don't you fucking ever say that again" I seethed at him as I stormed out of the common room and through the dark and cold corridors.
