"Daphne you cunt! That was almost my teeth!" I exclaimed loudly after taking my hand away from my mouth and stared at her as she sat opposite me with a smirk as she held the spoon she had torn from my mouth in her hand

"Well if something did happen to your teeth you'd be needing dentures. That'd be funny-"

"I'll make sure you need dentures- see who finds it funny then" I said to her trying to keep a straight face as we stared at each other as we both started laughing and I took my spoon back as I started eating my yoghurt again

"What have we got first?"

"I don't know" she said with a shrug as I scoffed

"Helpful- Pansy what do we have first?" I asked as I looked at her after she had taken the seat beside Daphne as she shrugged

"Now who am I meant to ask?"

"Blaise? What do we have first?"

"Potions" listening as his voice appeared beside me I jumped as I whipped around to stare at him

"Care to explain where you fucking came from?"

"The sky" he answered simply as if it was the most natural thing in the world as I let out a small snort and turned away again

"Of course you did-"

"Wait, is it just me or does it feel like we have potions far too many times in one week?"

"So I wasn't the only one thinking that" I murmured before laughing as we all glanced up, watching as hundreds of owls came soaring in and I caught sight of Chiara, a small box clutched tightly in her grasp as a grin crossed my face as she landed in front of us and I took it away from her as I swapped it for a slice of toast and watched as she ate it happily while I flattened her feathers down

"What's that?"

"My secret drug stash"

"Well it's not that much of a secret now is it?"

"No not really" I admitted laughing as I peeled the lid back just enough for me to look in as I caught sight of my shrunk broom as I tucked the box into my bag and looked down the table and caught sight of Flint as I nodded and turned away as the three of them stared at me

"What?"

"You"

"Me?"

"Yes, you"

"What about me?"

"Oh my god-"

"Never mind" Daphne cut across Pansy laughing as a smirk found its way onto my face as I shrugged and went back to my breakfast as I found Chiara sitting there staring at me as I raised an eyebrow and listened as she let out a soft hoot before stretching her wings as she took off, her feathers brushing my face as I laughed lightly and finished my food as I waited on the other three.

Walking down to the dungeons I grabbed a stool as Blaise took the one next to me, much to the dislike of Pansy as she scowled at him

"Don't worry Pansy I'll sit next to you in the next class"

"I'd hope so" she said laughing as her and Daphne took the table in front of ours as I looked up, watching as Snape swept into the room, flicking his wand as he went as words appeared on the blackboard at the front of the room

"You will follow the instructions on the board and at the end of the lesson you will bring a sample of your potion to me. Start" Snape told us on his usual drawling voice as everybody started moving to gather ingredients as I grabbed my cauldron and instantly put it over a flame

"Hang on Lia you're not meant to put it on a flame until step four-"

"Did you call me Lia?" I asked as I turned my head to him as he looked at me and thought about it as he glanced away for a split second before turning back

"I think I did- sorry it's just easier than saying Amelia-"

"No it's alright, you can call me Lia if you want. I don't mind" I told him laughing as I looked at the first instruction and grabbed my knife

"Thanks, it's easier than just saying Amelia over and over again - anyway, you're not following the instructions correctly" he pointed out as I looked at him with a smirk

"You stick to your potion and I'll stick to mine" I said with an amused tone as he looked at me confused before I turned back to my potion. By the start of the second period, everybody was still cutting up and weighing ingredients as I sat down on my stool as my cauldron continued to bubble away and I cleared the desk before pulling a book out as I continued to look at my watch

"What are you doing?"

"Reading"

"What about your potion?"

"I'm finished" I told Blaise as I looked at my watch and put my book down in an instant before heaving my cauldron off of the fire as I smiled at the pale white liquid that was letting off a gentle shimmer as I pulled a phial out and ladled some into it before labelling it with my name as I walked to the front and left it on Snape's desk as I turned around

"What is this Miss Black?"

"My potion"

"That is not possible, there is still another thirty five minutes left of this lesson, your potion can't be ready or correct"

"I'm positive it is- check it if you don't believe me" I said with a shrug as he unscrewed the lid and poured a small amount of the liquid onto a silver teaspoon before dropping it onto a holly leaf, watching as the leaf started to dissolve and he stared down at it with a look of mild surprise as he quickly masked it and looked up at me

"Stay back at the end of the lesson Miss Black" he told me as I nodded and turned around, walking back over to Blaise as I felt eyes on me and I sat back down and pulled my book towards me as Blaise turned to me, his potion bubbling away

"How did you do that?"

"I'll explain later, keep an eye on your potion"

"What are you keeping from me?"

"Amelia?"
