|Chapter thirty three : Preparations|

"She was dying to meet you"

"I love her Ced. I really do. Where in Scotland is she from?"

"Around about Fife I think. She always complains about having to go down to London just to come back up to Scotland"

"She's not the only one" I laughed as we walked through the halls towards the dungeons, dinner having finished as we walked back to our common rooms

"I think she's hilarious"

"She is. She's amazing, but extremely clumsy"

"I figured that much for myself" I told him laughing, the Hufflepuff and Slytherin game tomorrow as I tried to keep my nerves down

"You seem nervous"

"For tomorrow? I'm not actually, I think we've got a good chance of winning. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow Lia, I'll expect you to be wearing Hufflepuff colours" he told me grinning as he waved to me over his shoulder as I waved back before heading back to my own common room, getting greeted by a surge of loud and excited conversation as I made a dive to my dorm, stopping just outside when I seen Miles standing outside the door

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm needing to talk to you about tomorrow" he said to me as I nodded, poking my head into the dorm to find it empty as I shut the door behind him

"You look tense"

"Only slightly" I laughed as he sat down in the chair at my desk as he spun around to look at me, a grin on his face

"Your robes?"

"In the changing room"

"That's fine, so Flint has told me to talk to you because he's talking to everyone else. But we usually head to our dorms no later than eleven the night before a match and we're sitting in the hall for ten past ten and we usually head down at half past. Now, you'll head to your dorm either ten minutes before or after and for tomorrow morning Flint thinks you should be down ten minutes earlier and leave ten minutes before us as well. Just not to draw too much attention to yourself, okay?"

"Okay"

"So what are you to do?"

"Not draw too much attention to myself"

"Basically, yes" he laughed as I grinned at him and he stood up

"Well I'm heading back to the common room so questions aren't asked, I'll see you later yeah?"

"Yeah, I'll see you when I come in" I told him laughing as he disappeared with a grin as I headed into the common room awhile later.

Opening my eyes I looked at the clock as I pushed myself up and rubbed at my face before heading to the bathroom. Walking out awhile later I checked the clock again as I started putting my hair into a ponytail as the other three started hauling clothes out

"How come you're up so early?"

"I just woke up and decided to get up"

"You amaze me"

"Thank you, I amaze myself at the best of times too" I laughed as I got up and turned to them

"I'll see you guys in the hall" I told them before leaving as I instantly made my way to the great hall, my legs shaking ever so slightly as I walked towards the Hufflepuff table where I spotted Cedric with the other three as I leant against his back with a grin

"Hang on, where are your Hufflepuff colours?"

"I'm heading down and getting them after breakfast" I grinned before ruffling his hair as I looked to the other three before back to him as he tilted his head back to look at me

"Good luck out there today. You'll need it"

"I doubt it. We've got it in the bag today" Abbie said as I looked at Cedric with a smile as he scanned my face and I let out a hum before patting his cheek and straightening up

"See you guys down there then" I said to them before turning and making my way to my own table, checking my watch as more people continued to flood into the hall, the Slytherin quidditch team with them as they sat down at the opposite end as Blaise sat down next to me

"Alright?"

"Exhausted-"

"Blaise, you get more sleep than all of us put together" I scoffed as he looked at me with a grin as I tapped my foot on the floor while taking a piece of toast

"If we don't win this match I'm losing all hope in our house"

"So no pressure" I snorted as I continued to bounce my leg, the other three sitting down awhile later as I stood up

"What's up with you?"

"I need to go and get my jumper. I'll meet you guys down there" I told them as they nodded and I left, turning the complete opposite way when I got out of the hall as I left and jogged down the entrance hall steps and to the changing room as I pulled my robes out. Pulling my robe on I turned to the door as it opened, everyone else walking in and already changed as I sat down with my broom and Miles dropped down next to me

"We head out in five minutes"

"Five?"

"Yeah, it's ten to right now, we headed back down to the common room to grab some things. That's what took us so long" he explained to me as I nodded and the two of us got up. Leaving the changing room I was brought to the front of the group as I stood behind Flint and beside Adrian as I glanced between them

"Chasers walk as a group" he told me as I nodded and we started walking out, instantly greeted by a surge of noise as the Hufflepuff team walked out from the opposite end and I felt a clap on my shoulder as I looked at Adrian

"You'll be fine"

"Wait, I'm confused"

"Why?"

"You're saying something nice to me" I murmured as he let out a laugh and a grin grew on my face as we stopped and I looked up, Cedric staring dead at me, eyes wide and jaw slightly dropped as I winked at him

"Surprised Diggsters?" I asked as he turned away and to Ethan as the two turned back and Abbie and Andrew stared at me as I looked at them all amused, winking at Cedric as I mounted my broom. Kicking off I instantly caught the quaffle as I soared past them, heading straight to the Hufflepuff goals as I threw it right through the centre hoop, deafening cheers coming from the green and silver clad bunch as I flew back with a grin on my face.
