"How do you guys think you've done on the tests?"

"Failed"

"Failed-"

"There is an extremely slim chance that I've passed"

"But I helped you all revise!"

"We know. How do you think you've done?"

"Failed as well" I shrugged as me, Blaise, Theodore and Pansy started laughing as Blaise shook his head at me

"If you've failed then there's no way that I've got a single mark"

"You haven't failed. You'll have of passed all of the tests with full marks"

"If only dreams could come true" I sighed to Pansy as I let out a laugh before she jumped up with a look of shock on her face

"What's got-?"

"We go home in two days!" She said quietly with a look of genuine surprise on her face as I stared at her, turning between the other two exasperated

"See what I have to put up with?"

"Oi!"

"Yes?"

"I heard that"

"I know you did, you're welcome-"

"Miss Black"

"Ah crap that's me" I sighed quietly as Blaise started laughing, turning around I looked at Snape who was standing there with his usual unamused look

"Professor Dumbledore requires a word"

"I haven't done anything-"

"Guilty conscience-"

"Pansy I'll smack you" I muttered to her quietly as she turned away with a grin before I turned back around

"You haven't done anything, he would just like to speak with you and your sister" he drawled as he turned and started walking as I let out a groan, unwillingly getting to my feet and following as they waved me off as I gave them the middle finger back as I followed him through corridors and upstairs until we came to the stone griffin, not even hearing him talk as I watched it turn, a spiral staircase coming into view as I stared at it. Feeling eyes on me I turned to Snape as he stared at me, before looking to the staircase again

"Oh! Well, em, thank you professor" I murmured quietly before going up, climbing to the top I looked at the double doors before knocking

"Come in, Amelia"

"That's weird" I muttered incoherently as I pushed the door open and went to shut it as I looked at Holly and Dumbledore

"You can leave the door open Amelia. I shall close it behind me when I leave you two in peace" Dumbledore smiled as he stood up before walking past and closing the door as I walked into the room, giving Holly a suspicious look before turning around at the noise of a soft squawk as a smile formed on my face at the sight of Fawkes as I walked towards him before gently brushing the feathers on the back of his head with a smile of amazement

"I've heard so much about you-"

"Amelia?"

"Yeah?"

"Um... these are for you" turning around I looked at Holly who was standing with robes in her hands as I walked over to her and took them confused before unrolling them as I stared at the Gryffindor robes I was holding

"They're your size, I got them altered for you-"

"What?"

"I got them altered so they'll fit you-"

"I know what altered means Holly. Why?" I asked as I stared at her and she stumbled over her words slightly before she glanced at a shelf with a smile on her face and looked back at me

"Because I convinced the sorting hat to change its mind and change which house you're in-"

"You what?!" I screamed at her as I ignored Fawkes and the paintings behind me as I gritted my teeth, staring her down as I threw the robes to the ground and stormed towards her as she darted around to the other side of Dumbledore's desk as I gripped it tightly, my blood flaring

"Just think- it might be better for you-"

"It won't be!"

"Mum will be happier-"

"I don't care!"

"But-"

"Holly! I was sorted into Slytherin! It's my house! It's the house I'm going to stay in and I'm happy about that! Don't think you're doing good I want you to stay the-!"

"Amelia! Your hands!" Holly screamed as I looked down, jumping backwards as my face paled. Shaking my hands furiously I tried to rid of the bright white colour that was spreading across my fingers and back of my hands with a slight tingling feeling as I hit my hand against the wall desperately, watching in horror as it left a smear of what resembled frost as I jumped back, disappearing from sight as I ran down the stairs instantly, panicking as I hastily stuffed my hands into my pockets and arrived in the common room as I slammed the dorm door behind me
