XÓCHITL, HAD MET THE ORIGINALS OUTSIDE OF THE NEW ORLEANS. BEFORE SHE went back home. She met Klaus and Nate first, in the nineteen twenties, Chicago. She was just a regular human working for Gloria. She met them before Stefan met the Original siblings. Xóchitl came from a family that belongs to the Men of Letters, but her being a woman, she couldn't exactly join the all boys club, and a pissed off teenager left home, and found a home in New Orleans, where she met Marcel who took the fifteen year old in as his daughter. She left after she turned nineteen to see the world, one thing lead to another and it lead her to Chicago.
The confusing relationship between Xóchitl and Nate, and Xóchitl and Klaus got all too confusing to the two brothers, confused by the dark haired woman. Klaus wouldn't lie and say his attraction to Xóchitl, was just to piss of his brother, at least at first. Nate and Xóchitl hit off, at first, and Rebekah took notice of it. Rebekah took noticed of her brothers interested in her and that when Xóchitl made her choice. Rebekah had a conversation with Nate, worried about her concerns, and after that conversation Nate compelled Xóchitl to forget them, and never look back, to go home to her family, to her father.
She went back home to New Orleans, to Marcel who welcomed her home with open arms, again. The man became her father figure in an unusual way. When a witch attacked her to get back at Marcel, he made the choice of turning her, instead of losing her.
IN MYSTIC FALLS, REBEKAH, NATE AND ELIJAH SPEAK IN REBEKAH'S HOUSE, "NEW ORLEANS? What the hell is Klaus doing there?" Rebekah asks her.
Elijah says, "Evidently, there are witches conspiring against him. So, knowing our brother, this was a mission to silence and slaughter."
"When isn't there always someone plotting against him?" Nate asks and this took Elijah by surprised,
Rebekah asks, "Well, the French quarter witches are not a lot to be trifled with. You don't suppose they've found a way to kill him once and for all, do you?"
Elijah tells his sister, "Rebekah, in the name of our family, you might try to dial down your glee."
Rebekah asks, "What family? We are four distrustful acquaintances who happen to share a bloodline. I for one hope they've found a way to make that traitorous bastard rot." Nate looks at his sister unsure if she truly meant her comment, Klaus and her had fought before. But this felt different. Rebekah asks her eldest brother, "Where are you going?"
"He's running to help Nik." Nate says. Elijah stares at his brother unusual behavior.
"To find out who's making a move against our brother, and then... I'll either stop them, or I'll help them. Depending on my mood." Elijah leaves.
IN THE NEW ORLEANS, MARCEL IS SINGING IN A BAR, AND XÓCHITL WATCHES AS she nurses a drink when he suddenly stops, he goes to the bar and sees Klaus, Xóchitl can't see him, but she turns around to see what or who made Marcel stop.
