ON THE OTHER SIDE, CORA WATCHED HER DAUGHTER PREPARE FOR THE SPEECH she would give. Cora knew Dean and Sam did a good job with her, Crystal Winchester was definitely not the embodiment of John Winchester. She was everything good of those who raised her, and it was evident, and it surprised many she was John's child. In a weird way, Crystal reminded her of Benjamin, the good in Ben.
To anyone who met Cora, knew she didn't love John, she never did. Cora just thought he was hot, and she was sad, and a one night stand lead to the rest of her life being tied to John. When she became of aware of his other child, Adam, she was confused to why he stuck around for her, and Crystal. Cora was ready to raise Crystal on her own.
"Why did you stay?" Cora asks John. "Why her?"
"I need to make sure she doesn't end up on the wrong side." He tells her honestly and she looks at him with a glare. "Mary always wanted a little girl." He tells her truthfully.
"She isn't some weird daughter replacement." She glares at him.
"And she isn't a replacement for what could have been with Ben." He says.
"There's a reason he kicked you ass." She tells him. "And no, she isn't. Ben is dead. My daughter is here, and she is the only one that matters. Her and the boys." She tells him.
"Good." He says.
"John, if I found out you laid a hand on Dean and Sam again, I'll kill you, I'll kill you, and no one will ever find out." She tells him with a hard glare, "if you ever lay a hand on Crystal, your own mother will regret the day you were conceived." She tells him. John glares at her, how dare she. In a weird, fucked up way, John did care for Cora, and she cares for him, but not nearly as much as she cares Dean and Sam. She adores the two oldest Winchester boys, as her own. She would go to hell and back for them.
Cora decided that the fetus inside of her, would be named Crystal Fairchild, or Benjamin Fairchild, in honor of her dead fiancé, she wasn't even planning on telling John. Despite their hot night after she ran into him, Dean, and Sam. She and John teamed up, and she let the supernatural beings go, resulting in her and John got into an argument, which ended in her hotel room bed, and all over the room, not her brightest moment, but she was going through emotions, after Ben and the miscarriage.
Cora and John fought, and she punched right back, not afraid for stand her ground. She often sent Dean, Sam, and Crystal off with Chris and Agnes with an excuse to protect them. She did everything in her power to protect the three Winchester children. Her daughter told her she needed to find peace. She couldn't help but think back to Chris and hers previous conversation before they saw their family.
