Christy's POV

After dinner, we all made our way to the library. When we were all seated, Uncle Franklin and my father who was standing in front of us spoke.

"So let's get started with the ground rules." My father said like he was talking to a bunch of 6 year olds.

"Firstly, NO WORK! That means no laptops or tablets."

"Who would bring a laptop or tablet to the beach?" Elizabeth asked with amusement.

"You would be surprised!" My father replied while looking at me.

"Christy! You actually took a laptop to the beach!" Isabelle laughed.

"It was my tab and that was one time!" I said trying not to let my embarrassment show.

"Not one time but all the time, you could never leave that thing at home, you had to carry it everywhere you went" My father said clearly amused by my reaction, making everyone laugh even the alexander brothers.

"Ok, ok. Everyone calm down. Now for the second rule... Everyone must have fun!!!" Uncle Franklin said. "Oh and before I forget, we will be leaving early tomorrow and since it's late everyone will be staying here tonight!"

"What?!" The Alexander brothers and I said in unison.

"I said everyone will be staying here tonight and no buts!!" Uncle Franklin said in a commanding tone.

Clearly we were getting nowhere with this and I suddenly felt really hot like I was on fire, why was I feeling like this.

"I need some air." I said before walking out of the room and towards the big sliding door leading to the garden.

As soon as I got out of the house; I slowly walked through the garden.

"What is wrong with me?!" I said to myself. I came to a bench under a huge oak tree overlooking the ocean. Their house was located just outside of town and overlooked a private beach. It was really peaceful with a gentle breeze, giving me shivers. I always enjoyed this type of weather where it is not too hot or not too cold with a gentle cool breeze. It helped me relax and clear my mind. My train of thoughts was interrupted by footsteps. When I looked up, I did not like what I saw.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"Nice to see you too." he said with a smirk. I really don't know what his problem is; first it was the coffee incident, then the surprise at the office and dinner and now this.

"I will ask again. What do you want William?"

"It's nice to see you remembered my name." He said clearly amused. I scoffed at his response.

"Okay, okay. They wanted to know if you were alright and I...-" he trailed off.

"What?" I asked with an irritated tone. He seemed hesitant to answer but the opened his mouth.

"I volunteered to check on you and I also was worried about you."

Oh, I wasn't expecting that response but I shook my head trying to get rid of that feeling and replied.

"Well now you know that I am fine, so you can go back to the house and tell them I am fine."

He just stood there stood there gazing intensely at me making me feel uncomfortable. I cleared my throat, snapping him back to reality.

"Can I-uh- sit?" he said gesturing to the seat next to me. I seriously don't know what his problem is, first he teases me and now he acts like a fucking dumbass. This is really getting irritating.
