The union of Lily and James Potter was a truly beautiful ceremony. Everyone was filled with joy and excitement watching the two finally become united officially in the eyes of god and all things great. Though the joy was short lived as the day was soon over and everyone was dragged back into the dark and harsh reality once again.

Headlines on every newspaper, every day telling the story of another family murdered, another explosion, another massacre. The muggle news wasn't that much different either. On this day in particular September 1st 1978, Eloise found herself strolling aimlessly down a muggle high-street, glancing into shop windows every so often, the muggles were of course oblivious to the dark forces lurking just around the corner from them, and simply assumed that all the disappearances of muggles were purely coincidental. But why? The disappearances were all across the country, not concentrated in one area. Eloise couldn't understand the naivety of them but nevertheless she brushed it off.

Her attention was captured by the window of one shop in particular, televisions stacked in the window every one of them flashing with 'Breaking News'. Eloise couldn't help but be intrigued but her heart dropped to her stomach when the presenter started to speak and the subtitles flashed up reading 'Welcome to BBC News, just come in another family missing out of their home in Manchester during the early hours of this morning, reports say that there are no witnesses who know of the whereabouts of the family nor did they see them leave the building. Neighbours say they heard and saw loud bangs and 'flashes of green and red light' around two o'clock in the morning, but police still have no leads. Joanne is live at the scene now-'

Eloise couldn't find it in herself to listen any longer when a photo of the family appeared on the screen. A young man and woman who appeared to be no older than twenty one, with their son who could be one years old at most. Her heart broke knowing exactly what had happened to the family. The first order meeting was due to be tomorrow, and Eloise knew that something had to be done, said, and Voldemort had to be stopped. Wordlessly, she left the window which was now crowded with curious muggles who too wanted to know the latest 'gossip'.

She turned into a dark alley out of sight of any muggle eyes before pulling out her wand and disapparating with a crack. She appeared in front of her country home which she shared with Sirius unlocking the door and slipping off her shoes before calling out to her fiancé. "Sirius!"

"In here!" he called back sounded terribly distressed making Eloises face contort in concern.

Sirius was sat in the living room with a distressed James who was sobbing into his hands and a sniffing Lily who was comforting her husband, Sirius looking just as upset as the former of the two newlyweds, tears cascading down his cheeks making Eloises heart drop. She didnt have to ask to know exactly what was happening, to know exactly why her brother was so distressed, his eyes said it all as he stood up throwing his arms around his sister and breaking down completely. "They're gone aren't they?" she said weakly tears escaping her eyes, she really didn't need James to answer to know the truth, the heartache, the distress, and the pure agony in his sobs said everything that needed to be said.
