Bell Cranel was a well known adventurer in Orario. Many referred to him as the little rookie because of his exponential growth. Everything was going well until Bell encountered the last person who has seen his Aunt and Uncle.
Bell POV
I was making my was to the graveyard. In the very back were graves of many different adventurers. These adventurers were evil ones, I went there to find out why..why did Uncle Zald and Aunt Alfia turn to the evil side. Who am I kidding? I can't ask them that...after all they died long before I was even at Orario.
Bell walked to the very back of the graveyard. In the corner he can see 2 graves. It wasn't your normal grave, both of them had different stuff littered all over ranging from egg shells to signs that insulted them.
"How can people do this?" Bell thought while walking up to the grave trying to clean up the mess
"Hi Uncle and Auntie. I finally found you after all this time...I wanted to ask. Why, why did you attack Orario? Surely it wasn't out of rage, it wasn't for money. So why" Bell asked in a sad tone
"I think I may have your answer" a voice called out
"Who's there!" Bell said while taking out his knife. The figure stepped out to reveal a young man, no a god. Bell could sense the divine aura coming from the god standing in front of him.
"Put down the knife, it was you who was seeking for me" The figure said, "or do you wish to not know the answer?"
"Wait! I wanna know! But who are you? Your not human" Bell said
"Well I'm a god, can you not tell" the figure said with a grin
"Which god? I haven't seen you before" Bell asked
"The names Erebus" the figure replied. Bell immediately remembered the name, he remembered Lady Hestia mentioning it on a few occasions.
"Wait! Your with evilus!" Bell screamed out, only to be met by a laugh from Erebus
"No boy, you have it wrong. I was never with Evilus" Erebus said, "I do not wish to seek out destruction, it was the reason why Zald and Alfia helped me on my conquest"
"Wait! Tell me! Why did Auntie and Uncle do it" Bell asked hoping to get an answer
"Are you sure? I don't think you will like it" Erebus asked, genuinely worried
"Please tell me, I have to know" Bell pleaded
"Your Uncle and Auntie did it because of you" Erebus said, "they attacked Orario with hope that a new hero would be born. Sadly a hero never came"
"Your lying!" Bell yelled, "they would never do that!"
"You can lie to yourself all you want, but deep down you know it is true" Erebus said, "you have seen the darkest parts of Orario and yet you make yourself believe it was all lies"
"You have seen greed, suffering, death. So tell me? Am I really the one lying? Or are you having a hard time accepting reality?" Erebus said, "if not, then I shall take my leave"
"Wait! What happened to my parents!" Bell asked
"Now boy, you should know your limits. There won't be going back if I tell you this" Erebus said in an annoyed tone
"I want to know!" Bell yelled out
"Well, to put it simply. Your mother died by the dragon. Your father was murdered by a familia" Erebus said
"Which familia! Tell me!" Bell demanded
"Geez kid, the Freya Familia. Happy?" Erebus said in an irritated tone
Erebus could see the boy's soul go from its pure white. To a tainted white, It's original white color had a void in the middle. The void was never ending pit of pain. A soul that Erebus had never seen before.
Bell crashed on the floor before screaming. A scream filled with pain but despite that he doesn't want revenge. Bell got up and faced Erebus.
"Let me join you" Bell commanded, "let me finish what my uncle and aunt started, I don't want their efforts to be in vain. I am willing to die for the city's sake"
Erebus was smiling like a mad man. In front of Erebus was the opportunity to make The world's greatest hero and villain. An opportunity he had missed 15 years ago
"Then it's a pleasure to be working with you Bell" Erebus said
"But how will I get out of my familia?" Bell asked
"Don't worry, I have a way to fix that" Erebus said, "we must leave now though, unless you want to be caught"
"Very well, lead the way" Bell said
The 2 walked out of Orario, when Bell's falna changed Hestia felt as if Bell died. She went to the guild for any reports but nothing had been reported. Soon enough all of Orario had heard of Bell's disappearance. Most people were worried especially a certain sword princess
AN: I guess this is kind of like an evil Bell fanfic? Well he's more of an antihero
