March 6, 2024 - Floor 56: Pani

It's been just shy of a week since Griselda was almost sleep-pk'ed and we're still no closer to finding out who ordered the hit on her...

I've been keeping an eye on her friends in the meantime, in case any of them were also a target. The guild she was leader of has all but dismantled, there are a couple who still remain around each other, but the majority of them all absconded to other guilds.

Her husband Grimlock seems to have taken the news of his wife's death exceedingly poorly, he hasn't left his home at all. But I guess at least he's safe in there, and once this whole mess is all sorted out they can hopefully return to being happy with each other...

But I didn't have the time to worry about that, there's to be a raid meeting today, not for the Floor Boss but rather for the Field Area Boss that's blocking our way to the Labyrinth.

They're making way too big a fuss over these Field Area Bosses... they don't require nearly this many people to deal with, you just need a handful of competent players to deal with them.

But I suppose it's less about being smart about this and more so that these players don't want to miss out on the chance for easy loot and exp as well as a chance at the Final Hit Reward Bonus... Guild Politics, bleh! That's one of many reasons I don't ever want to be tied down to a guild!

Asuna: "- We'll lure the field boss into the village."

Kirito: "W- Wait a second. If you do that, the villagers...-"

Asuna: "That's the idea. While the boss is killing NPC's we'll attack and destroy it."

Kirito: "NPC's aren't just 3D objects like trees or rocks. They're-"

Asuna: "Alive? Is that it? They're only objects."

Y/N: ". . ."

Asuna: "Even if they're killed, they'll just respawn."

Kirito: "I can't go along with this."

Asuna: "I, Asuna, Vice Commander of the Knights of the Blood, will oversee this operation. You will obey my orders."

Kirito: "..."

*KIRITO'S POV*

U/N: "... d- don't waste your time..."

U/N then started to walk out of the room in the middle of the meeting... I don't think I've ever seen them do that, normally U/N would just stay quietly out of the way and accept whatever we planned to do. What irked them so much this time?
