August, two months since U/N climbed the Floor 55 West Mountain to rescue Lisbeth and Kirito. The Front Line had progressed from the 63rd Floor to the 70th in this time.
*ASUNA'S POV*
... An anonymous tip was given to us recently... an apparent traitor within the Laughing Coffin group ousted the location of their headquarters to us securely, so a group of fifty of our strongest fighters made our way there.
Deep within a Crystal-Nullification area of a dungeon on the 32nd Floor, something most players wouldn't find by chance at this point in the game, and any who did wander in by accident were probably killed by those murderers...
Within our subjugation party we had members from Klein and his Fuurinkazan guild, Schmitt and several members of the guild he now belonged to: the Divine Dragon Alliance; and of course several members of my guild Knights of the Blood joined me in the assault.
Kirito also accompanied us, unfortunately I wasn't able to track down U/N to ask them to accompany us as they have been in a Crystal-Nullification area for the past couple of days which not only disables the ability to track exactly what floor they are on but also disables the ability to send and receive messages- just like a Boss Room...
U/N's been quite distant from Kirito and I, and from what I heard from Argo and Liz: it's not just been Kirito and I that U/N's been distant from lately. But I can't spend time thinking about that right now... we're getting close to where those Red Players are hiding now, I have to be ready for a fight!
As I decide to purge my worries from my mind we come to a stop, Schmitt, who was acting as the leading member of the Divine Dragons Alliance guild and this Subjugation Party began his speech.
Schmitt: "We're almost to the Laughing Coffin HQ that was in the report. I'll go over this once more before we attack. They are red players! Once the battle starts, they will think nothing of killing us. So we can't hesitate either. if we do, they'll kill us. But we, in the lead group, have more people and higher levels than they. They may actually surrender without fighting."
For some reason, that last comment inspired laughter amongst the players... is this a joke to them?!
And that's when it happened... we were ambushed from both sides!
Schmitt: "I- Impossible... Information about our plan leaked?"
