Y/n, can you tell me anything thats going on? Professor Dumbledore isn't answering and Ron and Hermione are useless. I have no idea what's going on, I just want to make sure everyone is okay. Owl me as soon as possible.

Harry.

I looked through the letters for the millionth time, hoping to calm my nerves. I was getting more and more impatient.

I knew about the disappearances but nothing else. I was totally in the dark. I haven't seen Father all summer and Artemis had been more secretive then ever, I only ever saw her at meal time now.

I rolled the chain of my necklace in between my fingers, a bad habit I developed over the last month.

My room was almost completely dark now and I stared out into the garden, watching as the fountain slowly died down before shutting off completely.

I sighed, stuffing the letters back into my desk drawer before trudging down the stairs for dinner.

I walked into the empty dining room. At the end of the bare table was a plate of food, a cup, utensils, and a single candlestick. The small flame was the only source of light.

I picked at my food, staring at the dark side of the table.

After a few minutes, I pushed my plate forward and got up, sick of the silence.
