Kidnapped pt. 2

~~~Two years, three months later~~~

Lauren's POV

It's been two years since Y/n was kidnapped, her parents and the police looked every where for her but after a year they stopped and claimed her dead. I don't believe it though, I know she's alive somewhere trying to escape, I am now a sophomore in college, I'm studying about literature and photography. I was in class right just playing with Y/n's necklace on my neck, yeah I'm wear it everyday because it's the only thing I have that reminds me of her. Suddenly our teacher spoke up, "well it looks like "Scarlett squad" strikes again" she says, The Scarlett squad is a a group of criminals killing, kidnapping and robbing every one around the country, they are always on the news everyday. "who's the target this time?" asked one of the students, "two female teenagers in Colorado" says the Professor, "damn" replied the student, everyone went back their assignments. Ever since the Scarlett squad started doing their crime, my father made me take self defense then she bought me a taser and pepper spray so I carried it with me every where I go.

Class was finally over, I got into my car and took off back to the girls and I's apartment, yeah we all live together, Dinah is studying education to become a teacher, Normani is taking dance class, Ally culinary arts, and Camila is taking Music class. Once I arrived at the house, I walked in, dropped my keys in the bowl, then I walked into the living room, where the rest of the girls were at, "hey girls" I said, I got "heys" and "sups", I sat down next to Camila, "so how's everyone's day?" I asked, "I have to write a three page essay for education" said Dinah while typing on her laptop, "I have to study about fish" said Ally, "I have to write a song and perform it in class on Friday" said Camila as she write in her notebook, "I have to practice my dance routine" said Normani as she danced in the corner of the living room, "well I have no assignments so I guess I'll just watch a movie" I said with a smile.

The next day in class, we were waiting for our professor, I decided to look through Tumblr then a couple minutes later the door burst open and see the professor walking more like running in class, "sorry I'm late, um there's no class today, you can leave" she says then she grabbed her papers on the desk and walked out, I was so confused but I packed my stuff and followed the rest of the students out. I didn't want to go home because then I'll be lonely so I decided to go to work early so I got my car and drove off. I worked at my mom's place as a waitress, I love working there but the one thing I hate is when my co-worker Brad flirts with me. "Hey beautiful, you're early today" I hear him say as I put on my apron, I rolled my eyes and respond, "I see you are using your sense today, that's good because maybe you can finally get that I am not interested in you and that you will leave me alone", "oh come on, Lauren I'm just compliment you" he says, "how is flirting a compliment, seriously every time I see you, my day get ruined" I told him, Brad was taken back by my response, "oh...I'm sorry, I won't do it again" he says, "yeah I don't believe that, excuse me" I said then I walked passed him and started my work.

For the rest of the day Brad avoided me which I was grateful for, made my day a lot easier. Soon my shifts was finally over, I walked to the back of the diner and got my things, suddenly Brad stood beside me and says, "don't worry, I'm just getting my things", I ignored him and left the diner. As I was driving back to the apartment, I couldn't help but feel like someone was following me so I look in my rear view mirror and see a black car right behind me, I was starting to get scared so I was speed up a little and the car behind me did the same thing, I quickly turned to the right lane and sped off fast then I quickly turned right then left into the alley. I quickly put it in park and turned off my vehicle, I look in the rear mirror and watch the car speed past. I closed my eyes and sighed in relief, as I sat there trying to catch my breath, a light turned on in front of my car which startled me, then I watch as two persons came out of the car and started walking towards me, I slowly put my hands on the ignition, as they walked closer, I quickly started my car, put it in reverse, suddenly one of the guys pulled out the gun and aim it at me, but then I hear the other one shout, "No!!", I realized that it was a female voice, I quickly pressed on the gas and drove out of the alley, then I quickly put the car on drive and speed out of there, once I got home, I quickly ran up to my room, changed my clothes, then laid in bed trying to get rid of what had happen, then I realized that tomorrow was Y/n's 21st birthday when made me cry even more, during that time, I didn't realized that I had fallen asleep dreaming about a certain Y/e/c girl.
