(Evening, Dojima Residence)

with the investigation coming to a close, and the investigation team disbanding, everyone planned a small party at Yu's place, but Teddie suggested a cooking battle, Nanako, Kanji, and Teddie all decided to be the judges, as the group shopped for food items, Yu called Nanako to ask her what she would like for dinner, in which, she replied omelet with fried rice, with that in mind, everyone shopped and made their way over to Yu's place and began cooking, 

"Rise-chan was right... this celebration does make me feel like it's over", Teddie muttered, "the case really has come to an end",

"wow, it's really Rise-chan", Nanako stated, trying to cheer up Teddie, but failing

"I should go back over there soon", Teddie muttered

"are you going somewhere", Nanako asked

"yep... the guys kept their promise", Teddie said

"a promise, huh", Nanako muttered, before an idea popped in her head, "what if you made a promise with me, could you stay then",

"a promise... with Nana-chan", Teddie said

"um... a promise that you'll play with me, how about that", Nanako asked as Yu walked over to the two

"sensei... you kept your promise with me, so I should go back over there", Teddie stated

"don't worry about it", Yu said

"b-but... a promise is a promise... it's not good to break them", Teddie stuttered

"most promises can be broken, and can have good results", Amaya stated, walking up to the three

"besides, didn't you make a promise with Nanako", Yu added, Teddie's expression changed from sad, to happy

"my promise with Nana-chan, I made a promise to play with her, can I really stay here", Teddie asked, as the three nodded their heads, thanking them

"right, back to why I was here, foods ready", Amaya said, Yu, Teddie, and Nanako all nodded their heads, sitting around the table, different omelets were around for everyone to dig in, although Yosuke was a bit scared of Nanako trying them first, Kanji got the hint for he and Teddie to try them before she did, just in case they were inedible, Rise's omelet was first up, as everyone tried it, it was too spicy, Yukiko was next, hers was bland, but Nanako said that it was good, next up was Chie, Teddie gave it a try, but as per Teddie, it was awful, but Nanako seemed to enjoy it, Next was both Amaya and Sakiya, the girls were the first to give it a go, and it was good, only missing a small spice, and last, it was Yu's turn, Nanako was the first to try it out, and as per her, it was the best one yet

"are you full, Nanako-chan", Chie asked as Nanako nodded her head

"we're still starving", Yosuke stated

"if you're so hungry, then help yourself to an awful-tasting omelet", Chie retorted

"uh, I have a suggestion, you guys know about the festival they're holding in the shopping district, right, why don't we all go", Yosuke asked

"oh, that sounds good", Rise said

"whoa, does that mean the girls will be wearing yukata", Teddie asked

"a festival", Nanako asked

"we'll bring Nanako-chan along too", Yosuke said

"I can come", Nanako asked in both shock and excitement

"of course", Yu said as Nanako cheered

"festival food always tastes great for some reason, even if it ain't fancy", Kanji stated, "we'll finally be able to get some edible food for once",

there after, everyone chatted about the festival, and about how fun it will be, after awhile, everyone cleaned up from dinner and left for home.
