Nanako's Condition

(Evening, Hospital)

everyone stood around Nanako, she was currently asleep, yet, the group was worried for her, as for around the hospital, many adults were yelling at the doctors, saying that the fog was indeed poisonous, and the hospital apparently had a vaccine there that when in truth, they didn't have.

"what a commotion", Chie muttered

"what's that supposed to mean, can't you see how much pain she's in", Dojima shouted

"all we can right now is monitor her condition closely, Dojima-San, you need to return to your...", the doctor began

"I don't care about myself, do something about Nanako", Dojima interrupted, "just save her, please save Nanako",

"we'll do our best", the doctor said, "I must ask you to step outside for the time being",

"Nanako", Dojima muttered, as the group left the room, Dojima following before a nurse escorted him back to his room

"hey, can't you do something", Yosuke asked, "this all has to do with the world you came from, can't you figure something out",

"I'm thinking... I'm thinking, but...", Teddie said

"why does this have to happen to a little girl like her", Kanji asked

"we all feel the same way", Yu stated

"why'd it turn out like this", Kanji asked

"Nanako-Chan's gonna be okay, right", Chie asked as well, not long after, Adachi walked up to the group

"any luck with your investigation on Namatame", Yosuke asked

"Um... about that... we're gonna have a hard time making these charges stick", Adachi stated

"what's that mean", Yosuke asked

"I talked with the guys at the station, and it'll be next to impossible to find him guilty in court", Adachi explained, "especially given the reason why we took him off our list of suspects for the first case",

"oh yeah... something about him having an alibi", Chie said

"yeah, that, and the whole angle about him putting people into T.V.'s... there's no way that'll stand up in court", Adachi said, "no one would believe that, what the public wants is when, where, and how Namatame killed these people, and Dojima-San knows it",

"well, ain't you calm about this, and you call yourself a cop, huh", Kanji asked, getting into Adachi's face, "if you wanna see that stuff do bad, we'll show you, hurry up and bring a T.V. here",

"hey, stop", Rise called out but was interrupted by a nurse exiting Nanako's room

"what the", Kanji muttered

"is Nanako-Chan's family here", a nurse asked frantically

"I'm family", Yu said

"hurry inside, please talk to her", the nurse asked as Yu ran in the room, the group watching the door as it closed behind him and the nurse

"what's going on", Yosuke asked in a worried tone

"no... Nanako-Chan", Yukiko muttered in worry, as everyone waited outside, Dojima walked up to the group, accompanied by a nurse

"how's Nanako", Dojima asked

"we don't know, sir", Amaya said as Dojima walked into the room

"Nanako", Dojima shouted, causing the group to rush into the room, only to find out... Nanako flatlined

"I'm sorry sir..." the doctor said

"no", Chie muttered, before everyone in the group began to cry, Dojima fell to his knees in shock and sadness, not long after, everyone had left the room, all who was in the room was Nanako, Yu, and Amaya.

"Yu... are you... alright", Amaya asked, wiping tears out of her eyes

"Nanako", Yu muttered, tears in his eyes, Amaya starred at Nanako, not long after, memories began playing in her head, the day Nanako dragged her along with Yu at Junes, Nanako hanging out with everyone at the fair and fireworks festivals, searching for her when she ran away, the culture festival and the hot springs trip, all of it was too much for Amaya, as she silently cried, Amaya knelt down, next to Yu, and gave him a hug, and all he did, was cry in her shoulder

"I'm sorry", Amaya muttered, the two stayed there for awhile until the door opened up again, the two quickly pulling apart, there in the doorway, was Sakiya

"we need you guys, quicky, Dojima-San might've gone after Namatame", Sakiya stated in panic causing both their eyes to widen in shock, the two ran out of the room, following Sakiya over, later rejoining with the group, chasing after Dojima, with the exception of Teddie who stayed behind with Nanako, only to see Dojima being taken to his hospital room

"Dojima-San... was he seriously gonna...", Chie asked

"his only daughter's dead... nothing woulda surprised me", Kanji stated

"Dojima-San probably knew... that there's little to no chance Namatame would be convicted", Yosuke explained, "he killed Senpai, and now Nanako-Chan, and he's gonna walk away without paying for what he did",]

"that's not right", Yukiko shouted

"why... why is he the one that get's to go on living", Rise asked as then a noise was heard in Namatame's room, entering the room, Namatame was on the floor, and the window was open
