The Truth About The Culprit

(A Few Days Later, Early Morning, Yasogami High)

a few days had passed since Naoto's rescue, as a rainy night came in, the Midnight Channel showed no one on, the killer was foiled once again, but still at large, the next day came, and Naoto came up to the small group.

"are you feeling better now", Chie asked

"yes, thanks to all of you", Naoto said, "I'd like to thank you once again for what happened",

"don't mention it", Yosuke said

"we're all friends", Amaya began

"so we got each other's backs, including yours", Sakiya finished, making Naoto smile

"that aside, I'd like to discuss the case with you all", Naoto explained, "we're dealing with a kidnap-and-murder case perpetrated by someone lurking in this very town, and it isn't over yet, we'll go over the finer points after school",

"alright", Yu said as the group walked into school, ready for the day

(After School, Junes)

"first, I heard the doorbell ring, but when I opened the door, I saw no one there", Naoto explained, telling the others about what happened that night, "just as alarm bells sounded in my mind, someone grabbed me roughly from behind and covered my mouth with something, immediately after, I was put into something like a sack and most likely carried on the culprits shoulder

"wow, how could you remember all that", Rise asked

"the culprit seems to have used a chemical to incapacitate me, but luckily I wasn't completely unconscious", Naoto explained, "I had been expecting a trick along those lines, so I was somewhat prepared, and of course, I was desperate to gather as much information as I could",

"no wonder you're an ace detective", Teddie said

"that ain't something to be proud of, you are too calm about this", Kanji stated

"judging by their actions and body type, I'd say the culprit is definitely a man, I heard no conversation, so I believe he is acting alone", Naoto stated, "it's after that things get murky, I felt a single impact, which I assume is when I was thrown inside the T.V., but the time from the kidnapping to the point seemed too short... it was a matter of minutes",

"so you were immediately thrown inside the T.V. after being kidnapped... it's just like Aya's case", Chie said

"Aya", Naoto asked curiously

"it's my nickname", Amaya said

"you were kidnapped too", Naoto asked

"not really, I was on a walk, and got shoved in, I agree with the male killer, but I don't remember his face", Amaya explained, "if I saw his face again, I'd instantly recognize him",

"speaking of T.V.'s could there have been one by the side of the road", Chie asked

"regrettably, my memory from there on is a blur", Naoto said

"I see", Yosuke said

"I can't say anything else until I gather more concrete evidence, but Mitsuo was a copycat killer, his only victim was Mr. Morooka", Naoto stated, "but the question is... how did he learn of that world",

"that's what was bothering me, Aya, Saki, and I have been talking about it for awhile", Chie explained, "if Mitsuo could enter the T.V., then why didn't he kill King Moron that way",

"I believe he didn't understand the other world as well as the true culprit did", Naoto stated, "even though I can now enter it myself, it wouldn't occur to me to use it for murder, it lines up with the other corpses, so after all that, he decided to go inside the T.V., I'd ask Mitsuo myself about everything, but I've been taken off the case, and I doubt the police will believe all this, and the police are ready to end this case with his arrest",

"even if it's possible there's another killer", Chie asked as Naoto nodded his head

"if we attempt to unmask the killer, it would give us little to no time, the case would be closed by the time we have a lead", Amaya stated

"I have no doubt the culprit will continue with his attacks, we can only watch and wait for him to make his next move", Naoto said, "it could give us more time, and the truth on why we were all targeted... please allow me to join your effort",

"of course", Yu said

"thank you very much, I'll do my best, leader", Naoto stated

"ta-da, Nao-Chan's glasses", Teddie said, presenting Naoto with a pair of blue glasses

"th-thank you", Naoto said, taking the glasses, there, another member had joined the team, and with everything planned out, the group left, heading home for the day.
