(The Next Day, After School, Yasogami High)

"so, you getting used to this place", Yosuke asked

"yeah", Yu said

"that was fast, hey, you wanna go grab some food with me, beings you helped me this morning, it's on me", Yosuke stated as then Chie waled up towards the two

"what about me, huh, no apologies, my "Trial of the Dragon", Chie asked, anger in her voice

"you always come when I'm talking about food", Yosuke muttered

"how about it, girls, don't you think he should treat us, too", Chie asked

"I'll pass... I don't want to gain any more weight, besides, I need to help out at the inn today, anyway", Yukiko stated

"wow, Yukiko-san, you started training to take over the business", Yosuke asked

"it's not like that, I'm just helping out when it gets busy, well, I should be on my way", Yukiko stated as she then left the classroom

"what about you two", Chie asked

"we can go", Amaya said

"but Yosuke doesn't have to pay for us", Sakiya added

"oh well, we should get going too", Chie stated

"huh, do I seriously have to treat two people", Yosuke asked but was ignored as everyone left the school and made their way towards Junes.

(After School, Junes, Food Court)

"this is the cheap place you were talking about", Chie asked

"yeah, well, once you hopped on the freeloader train, I had to change my plans", Yosuke stated

"still, that's no reason to take us to your place", Chie said

"dude, this isn't my place or anything", Yosuke stated which made Yu confused

"while they're arguing, we'll tell you the story", Amaya said with a sigh

"Yosuke moved here about six months back, told us that his dad was assigned to manage Junes here", Sakiya explained, around the time both Chie and Yosuke stopped arguing, all five at the table cheered and began to drink their drinks.

"it's been only half a year since this place opened up, but I haven't been to the local shopping district much since", Chie stated. "a lot of stores there started closing, and... oh, uh...",

"you can't blame it all on Junes, can you", Yosuke said with a sigh before his eyes landed on a girl, "oh, it's Saki-senpai, sorry, be right back",

"is she Yosuke's girlfriend", Yu asked

"haha, he wishes", Chie teased with a laugh, "she's Saki Konishi, her family runs a liquor store in the shopping district, I think she's working here part-time, though",

"I believe she's the next grade up from us too", Amaya said as then Yosuke walked back to the table, all he spoke about, was Saki.

"the daughter of a local family-run liquor store and the scion of the invading chain... hoho, the flame of forbidden love", Chie teased

"wha, dude, it's not like that", Yosuke stated

"oh reaaaally... well, I know just the thing to cheer up that lovesick heart, you ever hear of the Midnight Channel", Chie asked, "you're supposed to look into a TV that's switched off, alone, exactly at midnight on a rainy night, while you're staring at your own image, another person will appear on the screen, and they say that person's your soulmate",

"what, for a second, I thought you were actually going to say something useful", Yosuke stated, "how can you get all excited over a childish urban legend like that",

"childish, huh, you don't believe it, do you", Chie asked

"of course I don't", Yosuke stated

"well, it's raining tonight, let's all try it out, then you'll see", Chie said

"true, we've overheard people trying it out", Amaya stated

"all we can get from everyone was that they saw the dead reporter", Sakiya added

"try it out... wait, you haven't even tried it yourself", Yosuke said, "all that aside... you know that "incident" yesterday, you guys think it was murder, ooh, what if the culprit behind it was still lurking around... heehee",

"sheesh, you shouldn't joke about stuff like that, now who's the childish one", Chie asked, "all I'm saying is, you all better try it tonight",

"alright, not sure if It'll work out for us, but we'll try", Amaya stated

"I'll try it out too", Yu said

"fine, the votes are in", Yosuke stated with a sigh

"guess we all talk about what we discovered tomorrow", Sakiya asked as everyone agreed, after awhile of talking, everyone returned home for the night.

(Evening, Takahashi Residence)

"2 minutes till midnight", Sakiya announced as Amaya turned off the light's, both sitting down in front of the TV,

"hopefully this works", Amaya muttered

"who do you think we'll see", Sakiya asked

"I'm not sure, I've had a bad feeling ever since what we've heard back at school", Amaya stated, "people saying they saw the dead reporter, then all of a sudden, she dies the next day",

"from the news, the reporter had an affair with a singer's husband, no doubt that she had it out for her", Sakiya explained, "I mean, she could've hired someone to do the job",

"true, yet, i'm still not sure about it", Amaya said, right before Sakiya could answer, the TV lit up, through the static, the two saw a girl, her face blurred, yet she appeared to be dancing, not long after, the TV shut off

"sis... did you see that", Sakiya asked

"yeah, it was a girl from our school, but I don't know who, the face was too blurry", Amaya stated

"let's talk with the other's tomorrow, and let them know what we saw", Sakiya stated, getting up from the floor

"agreed, see ya in the morning sis", Amaya said as both the twins went to bed that night, yet, throuout the night,, Amaya's bad feeling never went away.
