I couldn't help but look through everything in astonishment. There was almost an entire shop here in this closet, and with good taste in clothes too. "But, how, why...?" Jeongin chuckled, already havind anticipated my confusion. "Do you remember what I told you about my mother?" Ah, so that was true after all? "She was abused by your father wasn't she? And was pulled under the ground at the other side of the forest right?" Jeongin seemed rather surprised. "You do remember..."

He quickly shook it off. "Anyways, she wasn't really allowed out, like you, so she too tried to find another way to keep time from passing by this slowly, so she started to learn how to make clothes. Not only for herself, but for everyone. She worked on those day and night, actually having something she enjoyed now. She made them for years in advance, in all shapes, sizes and colors, looking so proud of them. It was as if I was her little doll at times with how many clothes she made."

He had a rather sad smile on his face upon remembering his youth. "She had always wished she had a daughter too. I remember her telling me about how much she wanted to have one ever since she was young. Which is why she also made clothes for if she ever would have one. You might not be her real daughter, but I'm sure she would love to see someone wear them..." He kept them all this time, probably one of the few things from his mom. Was it really okay for me to wear these?

Jeongin picked out a dress from his closet, a baby pink one. "This used to be her favorite one out of everything she made. She herself wore it too quite often." He paused for a bit. "I think it'll look beautiful on you, you should try it on," he concluded, handing it to me. The dress felt silky smooth, way softer than anything I had worn over time. I couldn't help but wonder where his mother got all these materials from.

"I'll stand in front of the door so no one can come in, why don't you try on some of the outfits, see if they fit and if you like them." I gave him a nod, a small smile along with it. "Thanks." He soon left, though you could hear him stop in front of the door, if I was correct sitting in front of it. I picked out all that seemed to fit, laying it on his bed to test it out. As the closer emptied little by little, I found way more hidden treasures; actual pads. Out off all I had found, this might just have been the best of them.

"Say, Jeongin," I started through the other side of the door. "What was it like here when you were all younger? I keep hearing things about parents, or separation at birth, or things like that, but I really don't know anything about the past... How did your mom get here in the first place?" Jeongin didn't answer for a while, leaving it quiet. He was there right? He was, you could hear his breathing stock. "You know, no one really ever asked," he tried to put it off laughingly, but you could hear the wavering in his voice.

"My mom always seemed to have loved nature, and went exploring a lot. Barely no one did at that time, everyone was busy with the city life. She came here just at the wrong timing, when the war was about to start. She met my father while exploring when it suddenly started pouring. He invited her over to his and his friends home as he used to call it, saying she could come over to seek shelter. He offered her some tea, sweets, and the two hit it off instantly."

Another pause, and a heavy breathing. "Back in those days, she could still go in and out. The wall wasn't there yet, since the war hadn't officially started. She came by almost every day, and the two fell in love." You could hear Jeongin let out a chuckle, though it sounded rather sinister. "You would say it was a happy ending, until the war started. At the moment, my mother had just become pregnant of me, and was about to tell him that day, when it all went wrong. Though I never got to know why, all three leaders got so angry at one another that they had made a pact by blood, no one was allowed to leave the forest until there was one grand victor. That's how the wall came to be."

"When my father came back, all agitated, my mother told him about the news. He was in shock, and frankly didn't know what to do, so he got mad at my mother, blaming it all on her. She wanted to leave and tried to run away, but when she found out she couldn't leave she got terrified. I don't know much after this, but I think she said that Jisung and Felix's father found her and tried to take care of her. It was said that at the time their mother was pregnant as well, so basically to take revenge my father got so mad he had gotten an affair with their mother. Their father found out and got so mad that he practically gave my mother back to my father. Ever since he had been horrible to her. If you want to know more, you should probably ask Jisung though, my parents never really wanted to tell me, nor did Changbin when they all disappeared five years ago."

I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. It sounded like he must have had such a rough time, growing up in a place like that. In the meantime I had put on the dress that Jeongin had picked out for me. He was right, it did fit quite well. I carefully opened the door, watching him stand right in front of me, tears in his eyes from both sadness and rage.

"Is that why I've never seen you talk to Jisung when you didn't have to? Because of the past?"
