Potter Manor was quiet as it was the early hours of Christmas morning, their party had ended a few hours prior.

Everyone was asleep except two who lay awake in the guest bedroom, Remus was resting his head on his boyfriend's chest as he played with his hair. For a moment Sirius stopped.

"What's wrong?" Remus asked, looking up.

"Nothing, just got a weird feeling." he replied, "You excited about tomorrow?"

"I assume you mean Christmas day and not the full moon?"

Sirius kissed Remus' head softly. "Yeah, I meant Christmas day-" he was cut off by a loud crack coming from downstairs. "The hell was that?"

"I'm sure it's just Worms dropping something in the kitchen." Remus said, rolling over. "He better be making me that cake."

"It didn't sound like it." Sirius said, he lifted up the covers and got out of the bed. "It sounded like someone apperated in."

"You're going down to check?"

"Are you coming with me?"

Remus sighed but nodded, the two made their way downstairs quietly, before they walked into the kitchen Sirius put his hand on Remus' chest to stop him.

He poked his head through the door, scanning the room, behind the kitchen island he saw a pool of dark red blood, he walked cautiously towards it, until he saw where it was coming from.

"Aries!"  he shouted running towards her unconscious body, the blood covering her entire dress, half of her body, including her face was covered in splinch wounds. "Remus, get help!"

He nodded, running out of the kitchen to get Euphemia and Fleamont.

"Come on, Aries." Sirius whispered, he grabbed a tablecloth from the side and tried to stop the blood flow but there was too much, it seeped through onto his hands.

Euphemia rushed to his side, followed by Fleamont and Remus. "Sirius darling, you're doing a good job, keep pressure okay. Remus, honey I need you to grab the healer kit-"

Remus nodded and got the kit from one of the cupboards, he put it next to her as she searched through it. "Okay." she muttered, she took out a vial of dittany and sprayed it over the wounds, she cleaned the blood.

"What happened?" Fleamont asked Sirius.

He shook his head. "I don't know, Remus and I heard a noise- I think she apperated."

"I don't understand how, she's not seventeen yet." Remus said, his eyebrows furrowed. "They've not even started lessons for sixth year."

"She may have been in danger." Fleamont said. "If Aries thought hard enough she would have been able to do it, but without practice it's very dangerous."
