"Pretty much everyone gets along here." Landon told Sebastian, who he and Evelyn were showing around the school, "Um, there are other supernatural schools, I guess, but we're the only one that intergrates all three factions. It can be a little overwhelming for new students."
"Tis not three factions. 'Tis four. Tell me, what powers does a phoenix possess?" Sebastian asked. "Surely, it's more than merely dying often."
"That's, uh...that's kind of it." Landon responded. "I'm cool with it, though. I mean, everyone else has the hero angle covered here. I'm better as a sidekick."
"Mm. I imagine it would be nice not to be killed quite so easily." Sebastian glanced over at the boy briefly. "Sorry about last time, by the way."
"No worries." Landon said back. "You're not the first person around here who's killed me."
The three bumped into Charlotte. "Hey." She said. "Hi." Landon said. "How's it going? What-What's up?"
Charlotte cleared her throat. "The usual. Getting rid of Josie's magical evidence before Alaric overreacts."
Sebastian leaned over and whispered in Evelyn's ear. "Is this what they call teen drama?"
"Shut up." Landon said, Hope and Charlotte hugging as he stood there awkwardly.
"Um, you're all moved in?" Charlotte asked. "Yeah." Hope replied, "Um, Alyssa Chang generously gave me back 20% of my room. Plenty of space for the nine things I still own."
Hope looked over at Sebastian as he titled his head at her, his arm wrapped around Evelyn's shoulder. "What's going on?"
"Uh, Dr. Saltzman is having us test Sebastian here to see if he can stay at the school." Landon replied to the girl's question.
"Call if you need backup." Hope directed her statement towards Landon, knowing full well Evelyn could take down Sebastian in seconds if she wanted to.
"I can assure you, I will be on my best behavior." Sebastian told her, Hope smiling sarcastically at him. "Even a side kick can handle me."

A ball rolled at Evelyn's feet, her kicking it up and into Landon's arms as Jed walked over to them. "Hey. Have you heard from Raf?"
