The Eagles song "Heartache Tonight" played on my stereo as peace has ended again.

It's a cold night here in Kansas, far away from wielding any influence or advice, even if we had it to give.

We'd love to help the world's zookeepers confine the monkey and the man-eater to their cages.

It must be a hard job when they can squeeze through the bars so easily.

They long for their old ways of avoiding civilization.

It's a natural instinct.

It's hard to have a safe park when a man-eating tiger wants to get out and expand his territory.

Unfortunately, hardships, fear and danger hone human awareness and skills.

Human nature improvers have wasted their hopes.

We know safety first is what civilization aspires to.

But, unfortunately, humans also need hardships to overcome.

To grow stronger, like boot camp builds a good soldier.

They all hate it.

They also know that they all need it to survive.

A balance is all that ever can be achieved in light of these conflicting traits within our species.

Big Dogs will always be hungry.

Small Dogs will always submit.

We sometimes fail to admit that we are animals too.

Some dogs won't stay on the porch.

We can only try to keep the tiger in its cage.

And the monkey away from the matches.

For humans, to fix a bully, they must briskly approach him eye to eye.

Then it's up to your bravery to confront his insecurities.

But will it be worth some pain, if talking doesn't work?

We often can't decide what to do, until we have to.

Our history is what we do or not do for a result.

History will show us two sides, right and wrong.
