Chapter 79 - Dark secret

Two months later...

I watch mindlessly as the fur babies run around on the beach, splashing around in the water as I watch from the bench I'm sitting on.

Nearly 65 days later and I'm still trying to adjust to it all.

I've started work again, filming doctor strange multiverse of madness is definitely a good distraction, it helps me channel some of the pain I'm going through.

Both Benedict's have been angels, as well as the sweetheart Xochitl, she reminds me of Y/N.

Kind hearted yet a goofball who knows how to make anyone laugh.

My sisters have been great as well, everyone has.

But I just want some days to be just me, letting me get through it myself, and for the one other reason...

After getting the dogs cleaned and dry, we made it back home and I let them out to the backyard to burn of the rest of their energy as I go to make lunch.

Walking up to the fridge my eyes roam over all the post it notes I've created throughout the few months since I "moved in" to the manor.

Each one is a thought or a moment I had that day about Y/N, I wanted to show her that no matter what the universe throws at us, wether it be a coma or not, nothing will ever come in the way of my love for her.

I sigh as I reach for the notes and pen I had put aside on the kitchen counter.

Deciding to write down todays thoughts of her.

"I saw a golden retriever today at the beach, it's true what they say about them, how they are so full of life and happiness in the most adorable way imaginable, that's how I see you." I write down before putting it up along with the others.

I shake my head to get rid of the incoming thoughts I've been working so hard to get rid of, and grab the food out of the fridge.

Just as I'm cutting up some cherry tomatoes, the front door opens and I instantly smile when I hear the tiny feet running along the floor.

"Auntie Lizzie!" Rose squeals when she sees me.

"Hi pumpkin" I coo down at her as she jumps in my arms for a big hug.

I smile at Scarlett who walks in slowly behind her.

"Guess what I learned today" Rose says adorably as I set her down, watching as she runs around the kitchen island to sit on one of the stools across from me.

"What did you learn?" I ask smiling over at my adorable niece as Scarlett kisses the side of my head in a silent greeting before walking out to the backyard with the dogs who are going over the moon that's she's here.

"I learned that Coral reefs only cover less than 1% of the seas floor, but they help up to 1/4 of known marine species." She tells me excitedly.

Y/N was right, this kid is too smart.

"That's so cool pumpkin, what else did you learn today?" I ask loving the adorable way she rambles as I continue preparing lunch.

We spent the rest of the day chilling and laughing at Rose's dance routine she made with Zeus and Hades.

I had to hold my laugh in every time I looked at Zeus to see him looking very unimpressed.

Her and Scarlett have been giving me the most company through this time and I love it honestly.

Rose eventually got bored with us and decided to lay on the big sofa with the two dogs cuddled right up to her as she watches frozen 2 for the hundredth time.
