Chapter 100 - He's an idiot

Y/N POV

I sigh the second I close the front door behind me, watching my fur babies walk into what now feels like a very empty house.

Sure I got used to it being empty a lot before in my previous relationship.

But I've gotten so used to Lizzie's presence, loving her warm near me in every room.

I miss her like crazy already and it's only been an hour, I know her flight is long too so I won't hear from her until tomorrow morning.

This week will certainly be hard trying to get used to this sort of lifestyle again, being with an actress that travels more than I seem to do.

But I love her, and I know she loves me.

And better yet, I know she's always going to be there with me anyway.

"How about we get some lunch on hmm?" I say to my two fur babies that watch me walk into the room, their tails going crazy as I walk up to them.

Kissing their little heads before I move to the kitchen, hearing them follow me like always.

"Alexa play stuck in the middle with you by Stealers Wheel" I say as open the fridge to see what there is to eat, and I have to say my fridge is looking a lot better these days ever since lizzie moved in, she always stocks it with a load of fresh veg, some different kind of meat for any dinner or lunch preferences, and even some nice fruits that I like to have with my pre workout smoothie.

Don't even get me started on the pantry too, that things looks like it's heaven in there, my mother will love it when she's sees it.

"Hunny I'm home!" I suddenly hear Max's voice echo through my house.

The boys instantly perk up and run to the sound of his voice, I follow through and see him leaning down to greet my boys, holding a new toy for each of them in his hands.

I shake my head at how he always spoils them.

"What are you doing here?" I ask as I watch him coo at the fur babies who are jumping all over the place with their new toys.

"What? Can't I stop by and say hello to my best friend?" He says half defensively, I give him a knowing look.

"Okay fine I'm hungry, and wanted to rummage through your food" He admits honestly making me nod in mutual understanding.

"Okay, but you're cooking" I say as I begin to walk back into the kitchen.

I watch as he walks in and grabs the apron, putting it on as I sit down on one of the stools at the kitchen island.

I chuckle as I watch him look through the fridge, grabbing a few things before going over to the pantry.

"Holy shit, you should have started dating Lizzie ages ago" I hear his muffled voice say in the walk in pantry, making me laugh as my phone begins to ring.

I see it's Katie Lizzie's agent and decide to take the call outside, not wanting to let Max know it's her since they still haven't spoken yet, knowing she hasn't exactly forgiven him.

I take the dogs with me and watch as they run around, as I answer the call.

"Hey Katie" I say as I look back and watch as Max walk out of the pantry, holding a bunch of food making me laugh lowly before I see him get to work.

"Hey hunny, good to hear your voice" She says sweetly making me smile as I take a seat on one of the loungers.

"Thanks, it's nice to hear yours too, how have you been?" I ask as I smile at Zeus who comes over to lick my face like a little goof before running back over to play with his brother.
