CHAPTER 10

(a/n: y/n is now 18 along with the rest of the characters who are either 18 or over. Just wanted to point it out 👍)

It had become your second year at J-High and the difference between your first day in this school to now was that you had friends to be with.

"[F/N]!"

That was Zoe who ushered you towards the group of fashion department students who liked to hang out with each other.

"You look nice today, [F/N]." Zack complimented with a light blush on his face and you smiled in his direction.

Mira held the boy so he wouldn't faint from your precious smile as she greeted you before you all made your way inside J-High as second years.

Over the next week, you had been settling into the school before the trip to Notte World was revealed.

The trip there was rather eventful.

You rode the disco pang pang with your friends, sticking next to Vasco who ended up throwing up after but he still wanted to go on the other rides which turned out to be the spinning tea cups.  You decided to stay with Jace and Vasco since you weren't a fan of the bigger rides plus you would waste too much time waiting to sit on the ride which was two minutes long.

Vasco couldn't handle the tea cups either until you held him close to you in a hug as a way of distracting him.

"My mom used to always do this in case I was scared." (a/n: it's true!)

Jace's jaw dropped as Vasco ended up fainting due to how close his head was to your chest. When he had recovered, the three of you roamed around the park until the end of the day, finally dealing with that guy from the countryside, Seonong who was apparently tough until Vasco squeezed his shoulder and showed him his place.

A few days had passed since then and since it was the weekend, you were helping your parents at the restaurant.

"Welcome."

You turned to the door to see another antagonist,

Johan along with his dog Eden.

You weren't surprised at this point whenever a random character would appear at your restaurant.

Just last week, Warren and Sally had come to order some chicken and you decided not to approach them, knowing it wasn't your time yet to introduce yourself.

"You can't bring in animals-"

Johan was ready to leave as soon as he heard what your mother was about to say but you placed a hand over her mouth and smiled in his direction.

"There's a free table for you and your friend by the window." You informed and Johan smiled in a thankful manner before sitting over to his assigned table.

Your mother gave you a look but you shook your head, telling her to let it go once.

"They seem inseparable." You commented and she sighed, giving in to your words.

You grabbed your notebook and headed over to them to take their order. Johan asked for a large order and you turned to his little companion, moving down onto one knee.

"And what would you like to eat, little one?"

Eden gazed at you before barking which made you turn to Johan.

"Translation?" You asked with a tilt of your head.

"He's already eaten." He chuckled after he gave his answer.

Johan was finding the way you were treating Eden to be endearing and he gained some sort of respect for you.

"I'm Johan and this is Eden." He introduced and you stood up before offering your hand to shake.
