I'm not okay

Chapter twenty

Soon we're finished and headed off to the ice cream parlor.

Walking inside the ice cream parlor, I immediately feel eyes turn to me.

People look at my brothers in fear just like when we were at the hospital and shopping center.

Then people look at me.

Pity shows in some eyes, others look just sad and some compassionate.

They can see I'm sick.

I stop looking at them as Ash tugs me forward to the different kinds of ice cream flavors.

I look at all the flavors around me in amazement, "there's so many" I comment amazed.

Ash laughs while wrapping his arm around me, "I know it's a difficult choice but you have to think like this, we can come here more often and then you will get to taste a new flavor each time, that's what I did when I was younger" he informs me

I look up at him while smiling, "I like that idea, I'm going to do that as well" I comment while smiling.

He smiles back at me and gives me a kiss on the head.

"Which are you taking now?" He asks me

I look around for a few seconds, "cookie dough and Oreo" I smile at him.

I've tasted both cookies and I loved them so I'm guessing their ice creams should taste good as well right.

"My favorite" Ash comments.

I smile while looking at him as he orders at the cashier.

"Do you want sprinkles on it or whipped cream?" Ash asks me.

"Euhm sure" I respond.

I have no clue what that is.

Flower pays for everything since the others already ordered before he walks up to me and wrap me up in his arms while picking me up.

It's like he can sense my exhaustion and weakness.

I rest my head on his shoulder as he gives my head a small kiss.

"When's the next chemo?" I ask him.

"Tomorrow" he answers my question.

I sigh deeply but nod my head.

"Will you stay with me?" I ask him referring to tomorrow.

He smiles gently while looking at me, "of course, anything for you princess" he smiles while rubbing my back up and down.

I nod my head while thanking him.

"Nothing to thank me for princess" he says softly while pressing another kiss to my head.

I smile as my eyes close a little.

Soon everyone gets their ice creams handed to them.

We all go sit somewhere in the shop with me on Flower's lap.
