I'm not okay

Chapter fourty

"What if I get bullied?" I ask nervously.

"You won't get bullied" Silas tells me

"But what if I do?"

"Then I'll kill the person who's hurting you" he tells me in a duh voice like it's the most obvious answer ever.

"You can't just kill someone because their mean to me" I try to reason with him.

"Oh no but I can, your brothers will think the same" he tells me confidently.

I hum in that tone that says I don't believe you.

"They really will be" he tells me.

"Okay" I say high pitched.

"You don't believe me?" He gasps a little.

I laugh, "I d-do" I giggle when he starts tickling my sides.

I squirm as I try to get his hands away from my armpits as more giggles break free from my grasp.

Flower holds my hand as I stand next to the elementary school.

Apparently I'll be going to the third grade.

All my brothers are here, not just Flower.

Vincenzo is here too.

He's standing on the other side of me.

Vincenzo and I have gotten closer, he's like an uncle to me now or something I guess.

He's nice and sweet and I really like him but if he hurts Flower, I will still hate him.

My brothers start school a day later than me for some reason I don't know.

Silas wraps his arms around my body.

"You'll be okay Les, you're amazing and if your classmates don't see that, they're crazy" he says softly while pressing a kiss to my head.

I nod my head as my heart beats loudly in my head.

"And don't forget to eat okay" he says

I nod my head.

I've been eating.

It's difficult and I'm a long shot from being better and okay but I can eat.

A little.

A few bites each meal.

Flower said he's really proud of me for coming that far already.

Ace grabs me from Silas, "I love you so so much baby, if anyone gives you trouble, give me their names okay, take a deep breath for me baby" he says softly.

I do as he says, "good job, now keep doing that for the rest of the day okay. If something is wrong or you don't feel good or anything- call me and I'll come pick you up" he says.
