We are back in uberta's kingdom where we see everyone getting ready for the ball. Derek looks around to find Bromely and walks by uberta looking to a table with red roses on it

DEREK: Mother have you s—

UBERTA: Oh, Derek!

DEREK: What are these?

UBERTA: Roses.

DEREK: They're red.

UBERTA: Of course they're red.

DEREK: But mom, I don't want red roses. I want white. Like a swan. Have you seen Bromley?

UBERTA: No.

DEREK: Has anyone seen Bromley?

He then looks to one of the servants holding a plate of hors d'oeuvre's

Derek: Would you feed this to a swan?

SERVANT: I...

DEREK: Take it back. Get something light, something fresh.

The servant does so as Derek then walks to Rogers orchestrating his musicians

Derek: No no no no no, Rogers, hold it.

ROGERS: What's wrong?

DEREK: Tonight the music must be played rubato, soft and graceful, like a swan.

ROGERS: A swan?

DEREK: Have you ever seen a swan, Rogers?

ROGERS: Of course I've seen a swan.

DEREK: If you could play a swan, what would it sound like?

One of the musicians plays on the tuba to make it sound like a swan honking

ROGERS: [Laughs.]

DEREK: Soft and graceful, Rogers. Where is Bromley?

UBERTA: No one has seen him, Derek.

DEREK: You're kidding! Who's gonna be my best man?

UBERTA: Best...? You mean?

Derek nods as uberta laughs with joy with Rogers playing the most romantic music Derek was speaking about

Uberta: You – oh – Derek! Oh!

DEREK: There you go, Rogers, that's the stuff.

Uberta is so happy that she then tosses the roses into the air. When the roses fall it reveals odette in her swan form inside the dungeon tower
