We cut to the next morning where se see Gladys hoisting fruit into the ocean
Gladys: Here, girl. Here, Precious.
Sid: She thinks she finally found her pet.
Gladys: Good girl. Here you go.
Manny: Granny, can't you throw imaginary food to your imaginary pet?
Gladys just stares as she throws more fruit into the sea
Manny: Enough already. We need to keep a lookout for home.
Gladys: Ignore them, Precious. I do.
Little did the others know, the food was being eaten by an undersea creature
Millie: damn. You can't take your eyes off her for one minute.
Diego: Nope. It's like having a child. (Gladys pushes the food off the boat) Only without any of the joy.
Gladys: hey, Brain trust! Brace for impact!
They look to see they were headed for a piece of land and turn away. Then they looked ahead and saw the continent
Millie: look! There it is!
Manny: yeah! I see it! We're almost home.
Diego: Millie, I never doubted you.
Sid: Me neither. Well, except for the six and seven times I thought we were gonna die.
We cut back to Ellie's group as they continue their way with the herds. They look to see the pillars of the land bridge. They just needed to get to the other side and they would be safe from the wall which was getting extremely close to them at this point. Peaches looks and sees Louis walking by himself, with her mother taking notice
Ellie: What's wrong, sweetheart?
Peaches: You ever say something you couldn't take back?
Ellie: Is this about Louis?
Peaches: I messed up so bad, mom.
Ellie: It's okay. It happens. Cute boys could whiplash your brain. No doubt about that.
Peaches: But Ethan was the wrong guy.
Ellie: And you figured it out. You know what to say to Louis.
But then suddenly, the herds all ceased in their tracks. The group head on through to the front and look in horror. The land bridge was completely destroyed leaving no way to get to the other side
Bridge: the land bridge...it's gone
Then they hear a loud rumbling and see the wall coming right toward them faster than before
Moxxie: we're trapped!
Peaches: But we were supposed to meet dad here. What are we going to do?
We cut back to manny's group as they enter a fog bank as they look for the gang. They then look and see the wall and look to the other side of the land bridge
Millie: Moxxie! Bridget!
Manny: Ellie! Peaches!
They look in devastation as they saw that the land bridge was no more as the wall reaches the pillars on the other side and toppled them into the sea
Diego: Oh, no. The land bridge.
Sid: But if it's gone, then how are we gonna...
Diego: Sid...
Manny: No. They have to be on the other side.
Diego: Manny, there is no other side.
Manny: They have to be here. Ellie! Peaches! I'm here!
