"Aria status."

"I'm in the furnace room." I said.

"Get the key, leave." Steve said in my earpiece.

I found the key. Right under the cabinet like we thought.

"I got it. Heading back."

I quietly ran back to the van. I got in and gave Steve the key.

"We're good rumlow." Steve said.

A week into the partnership. It wasn't bad. Wasn't great.

I sat back in my seat a little. Steve was looking out the window.

I looked around. Rumlow and his little minion were quiet.

"Do anything fun this weekend?" I asked Steve.

"Mmmm I went shopping at a record store downtown." He said.

"You're old."

"Yeah. Well they had old records." He said.

"Find any good ones?"

"Little Frank Sinatra. Some harry James."

"Oh so not too bad of music." I said.

"Oh so you have good taste too?"

"Oh I have better taste than you old man." I said.

"Mhm. What about you? Anything fun?"

"Caught up on sleep. I tried that new Thai place on third street." I said.

"Any good?"

"Yeah not too bad."

He nodded lightly.

"I need to try new foods like that." He said.

"It's definitely not the same as boiled food I bet." I said.

"No." He chuckled.

"Well if we're ever on an overnight shift I'll order Thai food."

"Hey lovebirds? Shut up." Rumlow said. My smiled faded and I looked at the window again.

—————

I sat on my couch after work. I was extremely sore today. I was on my period and I was tired.

I was snuggled up, watching a movie.

This was the usual night for me. Quietly sitting watching tv or reading. I liked it. It was normal.

Work wasn't as bad as I imagined with Steve. I still got annoyed by him sometimes. He always thought he had full control. I wasn't stupid I knew how to do things.

But he was still overall easy to handle.

I heard my phone ring. I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Agent. We've got a hideout mission for you. I've already called cap. You and Steve need to hide out in the Red Carpet Inn."

"This is my night off."

"I'll pay you overtime. There is someone selling shield intel at the hotel. It will only last two nights."

"That's a bad area."

"You have a super soldier with you. Three days. Pack and Steve is picking you up."

"Not in the motorcycle."

"Calm down its a company car." He said.

"Separate beds?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Thank you."

I hung up and went to go grab my stuff.

—————

I sat with Steve in the company truck. It was dark out already.

I laid back in the seat more.

"You okay?" He asked.

"I'm just tired." I said. "This was supposed to be my night off, along with tomorrow."

"Ahh."

"Good thing we don't have to figure out the intel until tomorrow." I said.

"Mhm." He said while yawning.

"Awh cap were you getting your beauty sleep when fury called?" I babied.

"Maybe." He said.

I smiled and sat up as we got to the motel.

"Let's do this."
