"Answer it." I whispered.

Steve just looked at his phone as it rang.

Tony.

It had been about ten months since we moved into the house. If Tony was calling....something bad happened.

He sighed and picked it up, putting it on speaker.

"Hello?" Steve asked.

"Steve." Tony said. I missed his voice.

I looked at Steve as he just watched the phone. I rubbed his back lightly.

"What happened?"

"Earths been invaded. They're going for the stones. You need to go find vision."

"Wanda's been- we've been keeping in touch I think." Steve said.

I got up and checked signals. Which were down.

"You need to go to Scotland. Vis is in trouble."

Steve looked up at me. I nodded softly.

"Okay. Yeah we will go."

"We?"

"Aria, Sam and I. I'm calling Nat too."

"Oh right. Yeah."

I just stared at the floor. We were back in.

I sighed and went to my closet, finding my suit. I knew my husband was aching for a fight.

Steve came in a couple seconds later. He just looked at me, like he was waiting for me to react.

"It's fine." I whispered.

He came over and knelt down in front of me. I was on the floor searching for our suits.

I looked up at him and sighed. He sat down fully and held my hands. I looked at him.

"We've gotta do this. Tony told me it's the worst he's seen."

I nodded. He sat up and pulled me into a soft kiss. I melted into his touch.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too. It'll be okay."

Nats quintet sat by the lake. She stood outside of it.

"Nice hair." She said to me.

"Yeah you too." I said. She smiled and came over to hug me.

I hugged her back, resting my head on her shoulder.

"And Steve." She said. I pulled away and let her hug Steve and Sam.

I smiled softly. Steve was watching me almost every moment.

"Okay. Let's get going." Nat said.

We all got on the jet. Sam went to help Nat as co-pilot.

Steve sat next to me on the jet. He had a new suit. Sorta. New shields.

He had set them down next to him. I was playing with my ring.

Our one year anniversary was coming up.

"What should we do for our-"

"-I'm taking you out on a honeymoon like you asked." He said quietly and chuckled. "It's not gonna be perfect but I think you'll like it."

I just smiled. He kissed my cheek before sitting back more.

"I promise you that once this is over, we're gonna be back home." He whispered.

I nodded and smiled.

We ended up liking the place in Michigan. It was quiet. Peaceful.

Steve grabbed my hand, holding it again as he played with my fingers. I smiled.

Deep down I felt like something was gonna happen. Like I couldn't keep living in the silence with him.

But he was mine and I was his. I couldn't let anything happen.

We had found vision and Wanda. Vis was hurt.

"I thought we agreed to stay in contact and lay low." I said.

"We just wanted time." Wanda said.

"You had time by staying in contact." I whispered.

"Cap where are we going?"

I looked at Steve.

"Home."

Not our home. Avengers home.

I sat back. Nat didn't know about our marriage. Neither did Tony. Or anyone besides Sam and Wanda, and probably vision.

I don't know if I wanted to see who was at the complex. Tony was currently up in space so that's great. I wanted to go home now.

We got to the compound. Steve led us all inside. Rhodes was there.

A hologram of Secretary Ross.

"Oh you all have a lot of nerve."

"You look like you could use some of that right now." Nat said.

Ross looked at me. "You. You're a criminal. You have been running around with different names and living and hiding in places you shouldn't. All because you can't own up to the fact that you killed your own father and worked for hydra."

I looked down.

"And you Rogers. You think you can come in here and think all is forgiven?"

"I'm not looking for forgiveness. And I'm way past asking for permission. Earth just lost her best defender. We're all here to fight. And if you wanna stand in my way, I'll fight you too."

Is that the hottest thing that my husband has ever said?

"Arrest them."

"All over it."

Rhodes moved the hologram out of the way.

"You all look like shit."

"The places weren't five star." Sam said.

I just continued looking down. I was lost in thought.

Steve rubbed my back. I looked up. He smiled softly.

God I wanted him to fuck me.

I looked back. Nat was hugging Rhodes. Steve went up and hugged him too.

Bruce ended up coming out.

"Hi Nat." He said.

Nat just stared at him. "Hi Bruce."

"This is awkward." Sam said.

"Let them have their moment."

Steve looked at me and smiled. I just smiled back. God he made me nervous and I've been with him for four years.

"Alright. Let's get down to business." Steve said.
