I sat in my cell still. I hadn't eaten any of the food they had given me.

I didn't want to eat. I didn't want to do anything. If Steve was dying I guess I'll die too.

Until the silence was alarming.

I stood up. Jesus I was weak.

I looked out of my cell. I couldn't see much. Until I saw him.

Steve.

Oh my god.

He let me out and wrapped his arms tight around me. He was picking me up.

"I'm sorry. I came when I could." He whispered.

"I know. We've gotta get everybody out and home."

Steve kissed my cheek. "Okay."

Steve and I walked into the lab in the wakandan building. Bucky was already there.

I nodded at shuri.

"Afternoon princess." I said as Steve and Bucky talked.

"Ms Thomas. How was jail?"

"Just lovely." I said sarcastically. She smiled.

Bucky smiled at me as he hugged Steve.

"Take care of him. He's stupid." Bucky said as he hugged me.

"Will do." I said.

I knew that for the next months Steve and I would have to hide. Sam too.

Steve ended up booking two hotel rooms. We were gonna get money here and there. We both had savings.

We had been staying here for a week, but we had plans to move to an apartment while I got a job to get some income. I was the least known. I wasn't mad either. An office job isn't bad.

I sat in the motel mirror, cutting my hair to my shoulders. My long hair gone.

I knew it would make me look less noticeable. But it kinda hurt knowing that my hair was gone.

I set the ponytailed pieces on the dresser. As I did, Steve came out of the bathroom in just a towel.

He had a very trimmed looking beard now. Just facial hair.

He saw my short hair.

"You look perfect Ari." He whispered.

"I look stupid." I whispered.

"No." He said as he came up behind me. "You don't."

I sighed softly. He kissed my cheek. I looked at the box of light brown hair dye on the table. I've always loved my dark brown hair.

I sighed and grabbed the dye. Steve kissed my cheek over and over. "It's okay. You look pretty."

I smiled softly. He snaked at me in the mirror.

I was doing all of this for love. I loved Steve.

I tapped the box and went to the bathroom. "I'll be back."

I came back out of the shower in a towel. My hair was only damp, and a little wavy.

Steve smiled from the bed.

"I like it." He said.

"I don't." I whispered.

"Aria. You look great."

I sighed and grabbed my clothes. I threw them on and looked at Steve as he smiled at me.

I really liked him with facial hair.

I put his dog tags back on and got into bed with him.

Pretty soon I would be starting a fake life, with a fake name. For Steve and Sam.

I needed to do this for us to survive.

I rested my head on Steve's lap as he read. I grabbed my book from our nightstand and laid back. Steve set his book down.

"No keep reading. I don't wanna have one of your big speeches." I said.

I looked over at him. He smiled.

I set my book down and sighed. He pet my hair lightly.

"What's your fake name?" Steve asked.

"Lana Dillan."

"Where are you originally from?"

"Wyoming."

"What's your husbands name?"

"Aaron Dillan."

"How long have you and your husband been married?"

"Six years."

"Good."

I giggled as he sat up and kissed my forehead.

"Good girl."

"Ew. Never again Steve."

"What? Sam said that I could get you to have sex with me if I said that."

"No honey. No."

He sighed and laid back. "Worth a shot."

I rolled my eyes. Steve laughed.

"If Sam tells you to do anything...don't."

"He told me to..eat you out. I don't know what that means."

I sat up and laughed. "Jesus."

"What...what is it?"

His cheeks were a little flushed. I just laughed.

"You really wanna know what that means?"

"Mmmmm."

"Okay. So like umm. Okay it's like me sucking your dick, but you are doing that to me."

"Oh! So oral?"

"Yeah. Yes."

"Well maybe I'd do that if like I had the stamina and wasn't in a gross motel."

"When we get to our new apartment you can try."

"Okay."

"Now stop listening to sams shit." I said.

"I can hear you!" I heard from across the wall. Sam.

Steve and I chuckled.
