Ps. On the right is Steve's look but with his blonde hair :)

Steve and I walked into the penthouse. Apparently there were clothes already here for us.

"Your hair looks nice." Steve muttered.

"Thanks." I said as I looked around.

The penthouse was mall but luxurious. One bedroom and bathroom. A living room. A kitchen. Windows everywhere that looked out, but couldn't be seen in.

"I can take couch." I said.

"No- please Ar. Let me take it."

"It's not like I can't do it I mean-"

"-I'm taking the couch." He said.

"Okay."

The sun was setting in New York.

"Do you want to use the bathroom first or should I?"

"Whatever works." He said.

"Okay. Go for it."

He nodded and went to the bathroom that was connected to the bedroom. I walked into the bedroom. It was cozy. Set to look like we were always here. Not that it mattered.

I heard the shower turn on. I got into the bed and turned on the tv, resting against the headboard.

I decided to look in the closet. I found my clothes. I grabbed some pajama pants and a thin long sleeve for when I was done with my shower.

I got back on the bed and curled up again.

After a few minutes I heard the door open. Steve had a towel around his waist. Jesus.

"I umm- I forgot to grab clothes before...."

"You're fine." I said. He nodded and grabbed some clothes. I shouldn't stare but...damn.

"I can feel your stare Aria."

"My bad. Not everyday you see a super soldiers body." I said.

He looked over at me from the dresser. "You've got to be kidding."

"Sorry." I smiled softly. I grabbed my stuff. "I'm gonna go shower."

"Alright. Goodnight." He said.

It was like eight o clock...?

"Goodnight." I said.

I walked into the bathroom and shut the door.

I finished showering and changed. I went into the kitchen to grab some water. Steve was watching tv on the couch.

"You sure you're good with taking the couch?" I asked.

He was obviously cramped on it.

"Yeah I'm good." He said. "I might end up just sleeping on the floor anyways."

"Steve." I said disapprovingly.

"Trust me I'm fine. Either way I got seventy years of beauty sleep so I've had my fix." He said.

I nodded softly.

"Goodnight." I said.

"Goodnight." He said. He smiled softly.

I walked out. I felt his stare on my ass as I walked away.

I quickly shut my door and looked in the mirror. I mean these pajama pants really are doing something for me.

I sighed and got into bed. I turned on the tv.

I decided to just curl up on one side of the bed. I was gonna make sure Steve had the bed tomorrow night. We could trade.

After an hour I shut the tv off. New York was pretty.

I stared out the window until eventually...I fell asleep.

STEVES POV

I woke up to the sounds of whimpers. And eventually those turned into screams.

Where was it coming from? It was dark.

Then it hit me.

Arias room.

I quickly got up and grabbed my shield. I ran into her room.

It was just her. She was sitting up in bed. Shaking, crying.

What the hell?

I quickly set down my shield and got into bed with her. She was sobbing.

"Woah it was just a dream. Just a dream ar." I said. I pulled her in as she sobbed into my chest.

I couldn't tell if she was even technically awake or not.

I laid her back. "It's just a dream." I said.

She quickly stopped crying and pushed away.

"Fuck." She said and got up. She got off of me and went to the bathroom.

I waited in bed though. I didn't know what happened.

Five minutes later she came out. She was still puffy. Her face red from tears.

"Sorry I just had a really bad dream." She said as she got back in bed. She rested her body against the headboard.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine now. It just spooked me a bit." She said.

"Okay." I said. I got up to start leaving.

"Steve. Stay." She said.

I stared at her. She still looked spooked from whatever dream she had.

I got into bed with her. She immediately rested her head on my chest.

"I know this is extremely weird I just...I need someone right now." She said.

I relaxed from her words, pulling the blankets over us.

"I get it." I said. I rested my hand on her hair. "Get some sleep."

"Goodnight." She said.
