Steve had been out all day. I was bored. I missed him.

It was hitting nightfall. Almost time for him to come home. Soup was on the stove for us.

Now I sat in his clothes watching tv. His apartment was sweet. It didn't have much to it, which I liked.

Steve came in a few minutes later. He had his helmet in hand, along with his shield.

He saw me and smiled.

"Hi." He said.

"Hey." I said, getting up.

Steve picked me up in his arms as I came over to give him a hug.

"Smells good in here."

"I cooked."

He put me down and smiled. "You didn't have to." He said.

"Yeah but I did anyways." I said.

He chuckled and set his stuff down.

He went into the kitchen. I smiled as he grabbed two bowls. I sat at the island, grabbing us two wine glasses and a bottle of wine.

Steve brought me over a bowl of soup. I gave him a glass of wine. He leaned against the island.

"Thank you again." He said. I smiled softly.

"You're welcome cap." I said. He still had his suit on.

He looked down at his suit and smiled. "I'll be right back." He said. He went out of the room.

I took a few bites before Steve came back in jeans and a long sleeve.

"There."

"Atta boy there's my Steve Rogers."

He kissed my cheek and stood across from me again.

"I love the soup by the way." He said.

I chuckled. "Right."

Steve and I sat, watching tv in his room. He was playing with my fingers.

"Ever thought about kids?"

"Jesus Steve."

"No- not like- in general. Not now."

"Yeah. I have. Why?"

"I don't know. I've thought too I just-"

"You would make a great dad babe."

He smiled at me. I kissed him softly.

"I have my next set of birth control pills on the counter in the kitchen and I have to take one and we can have s-"

Steve's music started playing.

I stared at Steve. "Did your phone start playing it?"

"My phones in the other room."

I sat up with him. He grabbed a gun from under his nightstand.

"Stay here." He whispered.

"No." I whispered. We both got up. I stood behind him.

Steve walked out of his bedroom. Fury was sitting in a chair.

"How did you get in?" Steve asked as he turned on the light. Fury turned it off. I sighed and let my guard down.

"How'd you get in?" Steve asked.

"I have my ways."

"Why are you here?"

"My wife kicked me out."
