First Visit

Day 23: First Visit - Dreamnap = Fluff + Small angst

"Alright, just call over when you're ready to come back." Sam stood by the lever staring over at Sapnap waiting for any sign that he was listening.

"Got it....." He muttered staring at the dripping lava that separated him from the prisoner.

"Just tell me when you're ready," Sapnap took a few deep breaths and looked back at Sam nodding, "I'm ready..."

(POV Your cat just went out of her way to sit on your laptop :])

Sam pulled the lever dropping the lava, allowing Sapnap to look into the cell for the first time.
Dream was sitting in a corner in a ball, he couldn't see much from how far away he was.
The bridge started moving and Sapnap knew there was no going back now. 

He stepped off the bridge and looked over at Dream, he seemed more broken than ever dried blood colored the floors and some of the walls as well as him.
"Dream....?"

The prisoner looked up and smiled at the friendly face, "S-Sap-nap..." His voice was rough and coarse like he swallowed a razor blade and the cuts had scabbed over.

"I'm... I'm here....," He stepped into the cell closer to Dream as he heard the lava going down behind him consuming the only exit he had, "I... brought you a gift...."

"A...gift?" He lowered his legs and sat up more staring up at Sapnap, "W...why....."

Sapnap went closer to him digging through his inventory for the gift Sam had let him in with, "For Christmas...," He pulled out an already wilting flower, "It's... not much..... but it's all I could get in a such short notice... especially one that Sam allowed..."

Dream smiled and raised his hand carefully grabbing the flower smelling it, "Th...thank- you.... I love.. it," He looked up at Sapnap with red puffy eyes and dried blood around his face.

"What... happened to you in here...." Sapnap kneeled down cupping Dream's bruised and bloody unmasked face. 

"Be-beat... I'm....... f-fine..." The beaten man leaned into the touch vaguely smiling. Sapnap didn't believe him but didn't push farther petting his head and lightly kissing his forehead smiling down at him.
