"Alright, it's clear."
Aden and Maddy scanned the area of the parking lot, making sure no one was around before Emma, Daniel, and Kai all changed back into their human selves, catching their breaths from being wolves for that long.
"Thank you guys for doing this," Maddy looked at them.
And Aden smiled at her brother, "You too, Kai."
He gave her a nod with a smile in return, and Aden felt lucky in that moment to have a brother who was willing to protect the family she was now apart of. It meant the world to her that he cared that much about her, her family, and her friends.
"You're friends are safe now." Emma assured them.
Aden physically felt relief in that. For the past couple days, she'd been so stressed and worried about having to leave Stoneybridge. But their planned had worked, and now not only was their secret safe, but so were Tom and Shannon.
"Jefferies," Maddy suddenly said.
Aden looked back towards the school, seeing him walking out of the school and towards the car.
"Quick, go!" Aden urged them.
Emma, Daniel, and Kai quickly pilled into the car, knowing if Jefferies made his way over and the wolves were suddenly gone, he would certainly have questions.
"Wait!" Jefferies called.
But Daniel quickly put the car in drive and sped out of the parking lot, getting away thankfully as Jefferies stopped beside Maddy and Aden, watching the car drive off.
"Sorry sir," Maddy said to him, "They didn't see you."
He sighed, "I was hoping to have a word."
"They had to get the wolves back," Aden told him, "They're not used to being out of the den for so long."
"Ah, I understand." He nodded, "Well, enjoy the rest of your day, Maddy. Aden, I'll see you in detention in a bit."
