-Sanemi’s POV-
It has been a day or two since (Y/n) has been sent out on her mission with Tengen, yet they haven’t come back yet. ‘Did something go wrong?’ I thought as I rounded the path coming back from a mission myself. ‘No, they’re both pillars. They will be fine. Plus Rengoku stated that (Y/n) was stronger than him, so everything will be fine… I hope.’

I made it to the Ubuyashiki mansion, yet it felt a little gloomy, but I didn’t say anything. “I am back from my mission Oyakata-sama.” I said, as Ubuyashiki’s wife Amane came towards me guiding him to the room the master was in. I walked in the room and started bowing as I knelt down saying,

“Good morning Oyakata-sama, I am glad you’re doing fine and in good health.” I looked up to see the master smiling before he started speaking. “Arigato, Sanemi. How was your mission? You are back quite fast. Are you waiting for somebody perhaps?”

‘How did he- Wait, am I waiting for somebody? Does he mean (Y/n)?’ I thought before speaking again. “The mission was quite easy as I didn’t have to run far for the mission and the fact the demon was super weak. And I also do not think I am waiting for somebody.”

“Hmm very well. Even if you aren’t waiting on someone, someone may be waiting on you…” Master said, making me confused as he continued to smile, but he seemed to have a sad look in his eye as he said this. “What do you mean master?” I asked before he changed the subject.

“Hmm? Oh nothing. You should probably go to the butterfly mansion to take care of any injuries.” Oyakata-sama said as he took a sip of the wisteria tea in front of him. “Thank you for the concern, but I am okay-”

Oyakata-sama then interrupted me saying in a kind chilling voice, “Do you want some tea, my child?”I looked at him for a second before responding as I couldn’t say no to him. “I would take some, thank you.” I said bowing as one of his many children went somewhere out of the room returning with a tray with a kettle and cups.

As the girl poured tea into the cup I looked at it feeling a little eerie. “Thank you…” I said reaching for the cup, but as soon as I did this the cup cracked causing me to pull away, afraid to break it any more. “That doesn’t seem like a good sign.” Oyakata-sama said as someone bursted through the door.

“The Sound Pillar and Flame Pilar just back from their mission at the Red Light District! They aren’t looking too good, Oyakata-sama. Sorry for bursting in without a warning.” A kakushi said, gaining our attention in the room.

‘Wait! (Y/n)’s hurt?!’ I thought forcing myself not to get up too rashly as it would be disrespectful to Oyakata-sama. “Alright, thank you for the update. Make sure that Shinazugawa gets his injuries checked at the butterfly mansion. You are dismissed.”

With that I scrambled to my feet running out the door. ‘Damn it (Y/n)! You better be alive!’ I thought as I ran past many of the demon slayer rookies as they were getting missions and such. “W-wait for me Shinazugawa-san!” The kakushi yelled, I turned to face her as she had teal eyes. I couldn’t see any other features on her other than she was shorter than me.

“Tch. I can tell you are faster than that. Pick up the pace!” I yelled, turning my head forward again. “Right!” She said surprisingly keeping up her pace pretty fast. As we turned the corner into the courtyard we saw multiple nurses scrambling around. “Where are they?!” I yelled as I ignored the small cut on my side.

“Who?” Kanao said as she approached us. “(Y/n) and Uzui of course!” I said panicky, as I tried to walk past her. “Oh Uzui isn’t here. He went home with his wives saying that they can fix him up at home.” Suddenly the female kakushi passed in front of me and yelled, “What about (Y/n)-san?!”

‘Wait? She knows (Y/n)?’ I thought as I nodded in agreement. “She is in emergency surgery as her breathing stopped once or twice giving us a scare, but she is stable for now.” Kanao said simply as I felt my stomach do a flip. “Her heart did what!?!” The kakushi and I said at the same time.

Shinobu then walked outside toward us, which means she probably heard us yelling. “Hey Kocho let me se-” “No, not yet, she isn’t stable enough for visitors, Aoi is with her right now watching her. No need to worry, and plus we have to bandage that wound on your side as I am guessing you ran the entire way here?” She responded seriously walking into the house, having me follow her.

-A Hour Later-
It’s been an hour sitting in this room with the female kakushi and it started to get awkward since I didn’t even know who she was. “So ugh? Who are you and how do you know Rengoku…” ‘It felt weird… to say her name like that, but I don’t want people getting the wrong ideas.’ I thought to myself after looking toward her teal eyes. “I’m Matsumi Moki and I am the kakushi for the former Flame Pillar’s and current Flame Pillar estate, and I like to make sure my friend is alright, but that doesn’t seem like the case…” She said, as she turned toward the floor.

‘That would explain some things..’ I thought before Shinobu walked into the room. I looked up to her as she was holding a simple clipboard and such. “What’s wrong with (Y/n)? Is she alright?” Matsumi and I asked, causing Shinobu to look at us in surprise. “Well usually I would say no to giving out personal information, but since you are a hashira and you’re her estate helper, then I guess I can tell you.”

Shinobu said before sitting down on one of the chairs from the corner. ‘I hope they aren’t bad. “(Y/n) has a cut mark on her forehead that had to get stitches, and imma guess that was the one of the first wounds she got. She has some broken ribs and fractured shoulder as she most of landed hard against something.”

“These are a lot worse than I thought they would be…” Matsumi said to herself as she continued to listen, gaining information about what she had to do when (Y/n) gets discharged. “She has some small scrapes and cuts here and there, but the wound on her side is the worst one, no doubt.” Shinobu continued to say as I looked over to see Matsumi writing down on a piece of paper.

“She has a slash wound on  her left side of her stomach going all the way through shallowing toward the back. It is most definitely going to leave a scar.” She said as she heard a small gasp from Matsumi. “I- hmm.. What the hell could have hurt two hashira so badly?!” I said, suddenly thinking that there were two hashira sent on a mission and they both ended up being hurt.

“Obanai said that they went against two upper moon sixes-” “HUH!?” I yelled, surprising the people that were walking by. ‘Sorry…’ I thought, still shocked at what I heard. “They defeated two upper moons?!” Matsumi yelled looking towards Shinobu who was just nodding.

“I’m going to check on (Y-” Shinobu then got interrupted by Aoi as she said, “(Y/n)’s awake. You might want to do some quick check ups while she is awake, since she might pass out again soon.” Shinobu got up leaving the room responding in her “sweet” voice, “Alright, see y’all later. I’ll let her know y’all are here to see her.”

“Thank you.” Matsumi said as she continued to fidget with her hands. “So what now?” She asked, looking at me. “I’m not sure..” I said aloud thinking I said it in my head. “You never told me your name.”

“Huh? Oh, I’m the Wind Pillar Shinazugawa Sanemi.”

“Ah angry boy.” Matsumi said, simply causing me to turn to her annoyed.

“What did you call me!?” I yelled, causing her to turn to me. “(Y/n) introduced you to me as ‘angry boy,’ so I’m just saying what she signed.” She said as I had a tick mark on my face.

‘Imma punch her when I see her..’ I thought, cracking my knuckles.
