"Are you okay?" Samuel asked with concern as he noticed Amaris cocooned herself in the fur of her blanket.
"I'm good, Samuel. Just have a minor headache, that's all," Amaris reassured him, her voice gentle as she caressed his hand, which he held tightly.
Samuel's worry grew. "But why? Did something happen to your health? Should I call the doctor?"
Amaris smiled and gently massaged her forehead. "No, Samuel, really. It's just a headache. I'll be fine after I take a nap. You should go and attend the pack meeting with the Alpha of this pack and the neighboring one."
Concern etched on his face; Samuel hesitated. "But, Sugar, the meeting will take hours. I can't leave you alone like this."
Amaris took his hands in hers and looked into his eyes. "I promise nothing will happen to me. I'm strong enough to take care of myself. Please, go."
Reluctantly, Samuel finally nodded. "Alright, but if anything happens, contact me immediately. And I mean it, my love."
Amaris smiled warmly as he leaned in to place a delicate kiss on her forehead. She hummed in contentment, savoring the sensation of his lips against her skin.
"I will," she replied softly. Samuel gave her one last lingering look before stepping out of the room and softly closing the door.
That's when hell broke loose. Amaris quickly took off the blanket, then locked her door. She swiftly knelt down and reached under the bed, retrieving a black letter. She began tearing off the cover before opening the letter inside.

On the other side, in the demon world, the spirits of Amaris were trapped in a large glass container in a lab, which contained every kind of potion and chemical. The container was big enough to accommodate 3000 people. The Demon King leaned against a table, folding his hands, and looked at the spirits he had summoned - his loved ones.
"Hope you haven't caused too much trouble for Amaris, Ruby!" the Demon King said gently, as if speaking to a spoiled child.
"No need to worry about my human!" Ruby replied, rolling her eyes.
