As the plane came to a halt I couldn't help but feel excitement fill within me.

For a multitude of reasons.

I was so ready to get this vacation started, especially after ten hours in the air.

As we disembarked the plane the cool breeze gently fanned across my face, easily taking me back to my life there.

I got off of the steps completely and I almost immediately noticed the black SUV and suited driver.

He shot us a quick nod before opening the back door for us and taking our bags.

I slid in the black cushioned seats and shortly after Nova did the same. And soon enough we were on our way to the first destination. All I had to do was keep the secret a little longer.

As we continuously passed by the expansive beaches my heart couldn't help but flutter knowing I was reliving my childhood to an extent.

With Nova.

"Sorry this was all so sudden." Nova said, pulling my attention away from the window.

I immediately shook my head, "No- it's fine really, it feels good to be back." I quickly explained.

She lowly hummed, "Maybe you could take me to your favorite spots once I get everything wrapped up." she said, sliding closer to me.

A slight warmth coated my body, "Yeah?"

She hummed in response leaning into me and I easily met her halfway.

I melted into the kiss as she guided me closer by the side of my neck. She slightly tilted my head back deepening the kiss with her tongue. But I ultimately pulled away before any sort of sound could escape my mouth.

A small smirk grew on Nova's lips shortly after realizing why our kiss was cut short.

I rolled my eyes, averting my attention back towards the window trying to clear my thoughts the remainder of the ride.

"This is interesting." Nova said as we approached the beach house. "You sure this is the place?" Nova asked the driver and he nodded his head.

"This was the address I was given, was there any issue?" he asked, pulling in front of the house.

"I'm not sure, let me call my–"

"Nova I'm sure it will be fine, let's just check it out." I immediately said hoping that I was able to keep the surprise.

She shot me a worried look but it was obvious she was being skeptical.

She looked between my eyes deeply– almost as if she was trying to uncover something.

I held her stare almost challengingly, trying to retain any information that my look might give off.

And seconds later she finally spoke, "Okay." and in an instant everything was dropped. From the look she had, to the skepticism in her voice, it was gone surprisingly fast.

"Everything's alright?" the driver questioned and Nova nodded her head causing him to get out of the car.

Nova opened the door and slid out, causing me to do the same.

"Here are all of your bags, you two enjoy your trip, and please send Amos a hello from me." he said, setting our luggage down.

She picked up both of our bags,"I'll be sure to let him know."

We headed toward the door and nearly halfway there Nova spoke, "I just realized I don't have a key or anything."

My heart dropped upon realizing that I might not be able to lie my way out of this one.
