Anthony wanted to gift Ariane. He wanted to show her she meant a lot to him. He took her to a jewelry store and Ariane was about to go wild.

Ariane had very expensive taste. Gold, silver, diamonds. She wanted it all. Every girl has an eye for jewelry but, Ariane had a hunger. She wanted to buy out the entire store and walk out with more jewels than any queen that would ever live.

Ariane bounced from display case to case. Necklaces, watches, rings, bracelets, ear rings, charms. And they were all big ticket items. There was nothing cheap in this store.

"Oh, Anthony! You have to get me this!" Ariane said pointing at a stunning diamond ring.

Anthony eyed it. He wasn't a cheap person. However, it refused paying a preposterous price for such a small piece of jewelry. He didn't mind spending but only within good reason. If Ariane wanted the ring, she could have it. But, that was all she was going to get.

"See if it fits." Anthony said.

Ariane was sized for the ring. There was some adjustments to be made. As the salesperson fixed the ring, Anthony was ready to settle down but, Ariane wasn't done.

"Anthony, look at that necklace." she said pointing at a necklace with diamonds in the shape of flowers.

"Mmm. That's a little flashy." Anthony said.

"Flashy?! I love it. It's so me." she said.

Anthony's eyes switched back and forth. He knew when a woman wanted something and Ariane was displaying the signs.

"Eh. It is pretty." Anthony said shrugging.

"Great." Ariane said. "We'll take it."

"Whoa! I didn't say we could buy it!" Anthony said.

"It costs just as much as the ring. It's fine." Ariane said going to try it on.

Anthony didn't want to deny her anything but, it didn't want to drain his wallet. He agreed to the two pieces of jewelry but, that was it.

They walked out of the store and walked through the mall. Ariane was just chattering on and on. Anthony listened attentively like he always does. Ariane stopped dead in her tracks and her eyes lit up. Anthony looked in the direction she was looking and knew this wasn't going to be good.

Ariane made a B-line for the brand new Saks Fifth Avenue. Anthony followed her, sighing. She had Anthony buy a little less than half of the women's section. He didn't want to deprive her of anything and money is not an issue. However, Anthony felt like he was being taken advantage of.

"Anthony, thank you so much for today." Ariane said from the passenger seat.

"You're welcome. As long as you're happy." he said tiredly.

"And I love the ring." she said marveling at it.

"I'm glad. I'm sure you're tired so I'll drop you off at home." Anthony said.

"Yeah. Plus, I need to find room for my brand new clothes. Thanks to you, of course." Ariane said looking back at the bags in the back seat.

Ariane liked material things. And she wanted the best money could buy. Anthony often caught himself buying her gifts almost every week. He almost didn't like going shopping with Ariane.

Having to stop at some place everytime they went on a date just for her to pick out something was wearing Anthony out. He kept reminding himself that Ariane loved him and that it could be just a phase. Only, it would last for the rest of their relationship.

Anthony was resting after an extensive work out and his phone rang. He sighed and thought about who could have been calling on such a peaceful day. He saw that it was Ariane and answered the phone.
