Claire

Mallory's house isn't that far from dads which is why I always walk to her house. It's literally a 12 minute walk unless there's someone walking their dog outside that I just have to pet, in which it's longer.

When I got there I rang the doorbell and waited a couple seconds before mallory opened the door. "Claire? What are you doing here?" She asked clueless.

"It's the weekend. So that means I'm at my dads." I said. "So today's not Monday?" She asked. "No. What'd you eat for breakfast? Are you on drugs or something?" I joked suspiciously.

"FYI, I ate Chocolate chip pancakes and I'm not on drugs I just happened to wake up thinking it was Monday." She huffed. She gets cranky when she has to go to school.

"Was it your dad again?" I asked knowing the answer. "He woke me up at 5 in the morning telling me it was 7:50 am and that it was Monday and I was late. He loves to get a good laugh outta me." She rolled her eyes.

"You gotta admit, that must've been funny." I said stifling a laugh. "I'm already in a bad mood. Don't make it worse." She said.

"Right. So are you busy?" I asked. "Not really. Wanna go hang out with Tyler and lulu? They told me they're at the park." She said.

So when my parents both got divorced I stayed inside most of the time when I was at dads because I literally knew no one, and because I was a bit depressed about the divorce itself.

One day when we went to I Hop, I was ordering for Nash because he was being lazy, and I met mallory there. Then she introduced me to Tyler and lulu who are now my friends too.

"Sure. Just change into something more proper like." I said as I looked at her bunny pj's. "Ha ha." She laughed sarcastically.

She let me in and closed the door behind her and we went up to her room. I helped her change after she took a small shower. b&w adidas, white jeans, and black shirt.

We were basically twinning. On purpose. This was only a minute ago. It doesn't surprise me as much now. It doesn't bother me either, but all the notifications I get in a minute is ridiculous.

"Let's go!" mallory said running out of her room. I put my phone in my pocket and followed her downstairs towards the front door. "Dad I'm going out for a bit." mallory yelled towards the kitchen.

"Ok. I'll be here when you get back." He yelled back. With that we walked out and were on the sidewalk headed towards the park. "I haven't been to the park in forever." I said.

"Don't you walk dogs for money back at your moms?" mallory asked. "Well yeah. But I don't take them to the park as often." I said. "Well you should. The park's a great place for dogs." She said.

"There's a reason for that though." I said remembering what happened that day. "Let me guess? You let the dog loose and you almost lost it?" She asked.

"Hey, don't tell anyone about this. It's embarrassing!" I said. "No it's not. It was a stupid mistake. It's not like the dog got run over." She said. "Let's just stop talking about this." I said.

"Good, cause we're here!" She exclaimed. "Really?" I asked looking around. Trees, little kids, playground, dogs, looks about right.
