"oh my god! it is so fucking hot outside. i can't take it." mallory said, opening the freezer to get a popsicle.

"it is july 3rd. it's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow." wes said. "thanks for reminding me." she said, taking a bite, sitting next to me at the counter.

i didn't even want to go outside, considering how humid it was. but wes thought it was a good idea for us to go on a little walk, which was a bad idea.

"you guys, we need to go to the beach." matthew said, walking in. "but there's a lake right here." callie said, like it was obvious.

"let's just have a day at the lake. we can have a party tomorrow." taylor suggested. "yeah. i have some friends that live around here. i can invite them." gilinsky said.

"i can make my dad leave tomorrow. we can have the house to ourselves." nash smirks. i think about it and look over at hayes with a worried face.

he gives me a shrug. i sigh and decide not to speak up about it and let them have their fun. everyone started talking over how excited they were.

after everyone had agreed with it and were all talking, claire got up and left, going outside towards the lake. i got up and followed her.

she sat on the edge of the board walk, staring at the water. i sat next to her. "what're you doing out here? it's so hot." i say. "nothing." i can tell she's lying.

"why're you lying? just tell me." i say. she sighs. "i just have a really bad feeling about this party." she fiddles with her fingers.

"it could be fun. you never know." i shrug. "yeah, but i'm not letting my guard down tomorrow." she says, looking up at me. i give her a kiss before we head inside.

wes was right when he said today was going to be much more hotter. i almost wanted to just sleep in but i would've died of so much heat inside those blankets, so i decided i'd go out.

as nash tried to get my dad and nila to leave, i chose what i'd wear. since it was very hot, i went with a white bralette and over that i put a light blue side button overall mini dress.

i wore the classic white vans slip ons since i was too lazy to tie any laces. i put mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow and light colored lipstick, perfume, and deodorant.

i looked in the mirror and i felt nice. i was in love with the outfit i chose. so in love, i had to share it with snapchat. i put my hair up before taking a picture.

i happily posted it and locked my phone. i realized i wasn't wearing any jewelry and i decided not to today. "girl, you looking hot!" tyler said as i walked downstairs. "hotter than the sun!" taylor added.

i laughed and sat down next to charlie who was wearing a black leather skirt, a v neck silk cami top and black and white low top vans.

everyone looked good. i was surprised with haley and lulu. wes came down the stairs a few minutes later and sat down next to me.

"you smell lovely." he whispered in my ear, putting his arm around my waist and bringing me closer. "ok guys. parents are gone. start inviting!" nash said, all pumped up.

i didn't think people would show up so quickly, but i was wrong. after almost an hour, the house was full and people were scattered everywhere.
