Zack's POV:

An hour later, we're on the road listening to eighties music. We start to sing.

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place

As I pull into the driveway of the beach home, I see Ashley in the backyard with a shiner on her eye. I get an ice pack from the freezer.

Ashley's POV:

I lean on Vanessa's shoulder and I start to cry. Zack comes back and puts the ice pack on my eye. An hour later, I tell Zack and Vanessa the story about my shiner. I feel like an idiot for trying to stop the bar fight but Wade was in the wrong for thinking I was the guy who started the fight. I get a series of voice mail messages from Wade. I put my phone down and I go to sleep.
