Alaricas lost control because he thought Jolene killed his aunt for no reason. She was like a mother to him. It's like Spiderman almost. Granted, Spiderman didn't "torture" the guy, but he wanted to kill him.

He did hit her, but that was it. He didn't torture her and didn't kill her, because he couldn't.

What he did was stupid, but that's Alaricas for you. He does stupid stuff.

Werewolves are part animal. Consider yourself lucky I'm not making it so the Alpha mates with every female just like in a real wolf pack.

Wolves attack and kill each other. Werewolves are supposed to naturally be violent and dangerous creatures. Not like the Twilight version.
