Alex's POV

Before you know it, the first round of the 2011 World Cup was in a couple days and I was absolutely terrified. I've never been more scared or nervous for a soccer match, not even in the NCAA Championship back in college. This was something different, it had more meaning behind it. It was the World Cup and we were representing an entire country.

I got on the bus with my duffel in hand and I looked around for an empty seat. There were some in the back but I didn't want to sit alone, I'd have an anxiety attack and no one would know.

I see Tobin's head pop up from behind a chair and she saw me and flashed a smile. She waved me over and I sat in the empty seat next to her.

"You're stuck with me." She says with a small laugh. I smile at her as the bus starts to leave the hotel. We drove to the air port because the World Cup was being held in Germany.

Once we got to the airport, it didn't take long for us to board the plane and it was probably going to be the most enjoyable plane ride. It was just the staff and the team so we all got our own seats.

I took the seat in front of Tobin and once we all got settled in, we were off.

Tobin's POV

I looked up from my seat and saw that everyone on the plane was asleep, even Alex. Everyone but Lauren because I know she gets sick after sleeping on a plane.

I look up and see that she was standing and she waved me over. I got up, checked on Alex, before walking towards Lauren's seat which was towards the back of the plane.

"First World Cup, aren't you excited?" Lauren asks me with a smile as she looks out the window of the plane.

"Nervous but definitely excited. I know Alex is nervous though, that's for sure."

"You know everything about her Tobs." Lauren says as she elbows me.

"I'm her roommate, of course I know everything about her. I know when she's nervous, I know when she's hungry and tired. I think I have all her emotions down."

"I don't even know when Arod is in a good or bad mood. That says a lot considering we have known each other for years."

"I'm observant." I say.

"Tobin, do you like her?"

"Of course, she's awesome."

"No, like really really like her. Do you have a crush on Alex?" Lauren asks.

My body froze, I looked away from Lauren and shook my head no. "I don't."

"You hesitated! I know you do. You can tell me anything Tobs, you know that."

I let out a long sigh. "Cheney, you have no idea how much I like her. She's amazing, she's caring, funny, fun to be around. She's perfect."

"Then go be with her Tobin." Lauren says with a smile.

"She's with someone, she's with a guy. There's no way she'll like me back she likes guys, not girls."

"You wouldn't know unless you ask her or admit your feelings towards her. You two have gotten along so well ever since Alex came to camp. You never know if she likes you back or not unless you do something."

"I can't, it'll ruin the friendship that we have. Besides Cheney, she seems happy with him."

"What's this guys name?"

"Servando."

"By the sound of name I don't trust him." Lauren says, shaking her head.

"I don't either but she's happy. As long as she's happy I'll be fine."
