Alison's pov
I was sitting in a cafe somewhere in Philly as I ate a piece of pie and had a coffee. I opened my wallet to stare at a picture of the girls and I, I looked at how close Emily and I were sitting next to each other. God knows I'd give anything to be sitting that close to her right now. I can't stand not seeing her, it's been years since I've been able to have a normal conversation with her. "No I just stopped at this caffe in Philly." I heard a familiar voice say as my heart started racing, I know that voice anywhere. I looked up and saw Emily, "Emily." I whispered to myself. "Yeah I'm just gonna eat and I'll be back in rosewood soon." I heard her say into her phone. She sat at a table near me and I couldn't help but stare, I tried not to be obvious. She looks so beautiful. "Yes Hanna I'll bring you a muffin." She said as I couldn't help but chuckle sadly. "Alright love you bye." She said as she hung up her phone. I took her in one more time as I sighed, I know it's way too risky to be here while she is. I mean what would happen if she saw me? She could tell the girls and "A" could easily find out i'm not dead. I got out 15 dollars and left it on the table I was currently sitting at, I got up and hid my face as I was about to walk by Emily I dropped my wallet, "Shit." I mumbled as I turned around and reached for my wallet, but she reached for it too. Unfortunately she got to it first. "I think you dropped this." She said as I made eye contact with her and her eyes widened, "Ali." She said in a voice a little bit over a whisper. "Hi Em." I said staring at her as we both stood there in silence, "H-How?" She asked breaking the silence as I looked down. "H-How are you here? Everyone thinks you're dead." She said as I looked up at her, "I know." I said as she stared at me intensely. "You have to come home Ali, you're parents, everyone is convinced you're dead." She said as I looked down, "I can't come home Emily, it's not safe for me yet." I said truthfully as I looked up at her. "Safe from what?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows, "From "A" Emily. If that bitch finds out I'm alive I'm dead, for real this time." I said as she stared at me more. "C-Can we go to your car please?" I asked in fear that someone would recognize me. "Of course." She said as we walked outside of the cafe and she led me to her car. "It's this one." She said as she opened the passenger door for me, "T-Thank you." I said blushing lightly as I got in. "No problem." She said as she shut the door and walked around the car to the drivers side. After she got in and shut her door, we fell into a deep silence. I stared at her and noticed how much she's changed, she's still beautiful but she looks so grown now. "Alright Alison I need answers." She said sternly as I stared at her. "Well what do you wanna know?" I asked as she turned her body to face me, "I wanna know how the hell you aren't dead, the police found your body for Christ sake Alison." She said loudly, I couldn't figure out what she was feeling. "Well Em that body the police found obviously wasn't mine, I ran away because I was in danger. "A" was sending me death threats Em, I never planned on faking my death till I heard the police found "my body", they made it all so much easier for me." I explained as she stared at me uncertainly. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked staring at me with those big brown eyes, "I mean don't you miss everyone? The girls- Don't you miss them?" She asked as I stayed silent. "Don't you miss me?" She asked in a small voice as I stared at her, she scoffed and looked down. "Guess not." She mumbled as I scooted closer to her, I put my hand under her chin and lightly lifted her head up so she was looking into my eyes. "Everyday." I said lightly as we stared intensely at each other, "I miss you everyday, you were the hardest one to leave behind." I added truthfully. "You didn't even say goodbye." She said as her eyes started getting glossy and she turned her head as I stared at her sadly. I moved my hands back in my lap as I looked down then back at Emily. "Emily I need you to promise you won't tell anyone I'm alive, not even the girls." I said as she looked at me, "I-I wasn't going to tell them anyways." She said as I furrowed my eyebrows. "You said it's not safe yet, and I know if "A" finds out you're alive you'll be put in danger. I would never try to put you in danger Ali." She said as I smiled lightly at her, "You never stopped caring about me did you? Even after everything I've put you through. If I could go back and do it all again things would be so different." I said as I started tearing up but quickly blinked away the tears. "It's getting late I gotta go." I said looking at the clock, "Well when am I gonna see you again?" She asked as I looked down. "I don't know Em." I said truthfully looking up at her as she looked down. "I guess this is goodbye for now mermaid." I said as I tried to hold my tears back and she looked up at me with tearful eyes. I went to exit the car as she flung herself into my arms, I wrapped my arms around her tightly knowing it might be the last time I touch Emily fields in awhile. I heard her sniffle and it broke my heart, I stroked her hair lightly. She slowly forced herself to let go and I saw tears were falling out of her beautiful eyes, i kept holding back mine. Without another word I exited out of Emily's car and shut the door on my way out. I started walking away and looked back to see Emily sobbing through the window, I then let my own tears fall.

Later that night (12:00 am)
Emily's pov
I was lying in bed thinking about Ali. I should be sleeping since I have school tomorrow, but I can't help thinking about her. Seeing her today made me realize I'm still in love with her, I know it's wrong since Paige and I have this off and on thing going on, but Alison still has my heart. My thoughts were interrupted by a loud thud by my desk. "Dammit!" I heard a voice whisper yell as I immediately sat up and turned on my lamp. I saw Alison standing across my room and I sighed in relief, "Dammit Ali you scared me I thought you were some psychopath killer!" I said loudly, "You're so lucky my moms out of town." I added as my eyes widened, "Wait what are you even doing here? It's not safe." I said remembering what she said earlier. "I can't stay away." She said truthfully as I stared intensely at her.
