Baby Darling (Jimmy Darling [AHS] x Reader)

REQUESTED: Jimmy is performing & the reader goes into labor & everyone is worried because [the reader] won't make it to the hospital so they give birth at the Freak Show?

"Introducing the one, the only, Lobster Boy!" Elsa announced as the crowd cheered.

Jimmy turned to you, a smile on his face, "That's my cue," you returned his smile & he gave you a quick kiss. He smiled down at your outstretched stomach, placing one of his hands gently on it, "Daddy'll be back in a bit," he promised, kissing your stomach gently. Your smile widened at that, watching him interact with his unborn child. He looked back up at you, gently removing a strand of hair out of your eyes & gently placing it behind your ear, "I'll see you soon, Doll."

"Don't keep me waiting, Mr. Darling."

"Wouldn't dream of it, Mrs. Darlin'," he beamed. He gave you one final kiss before he stepped out onto the stage to perform. You rubbed your stomach softly as you peered through the curtain to watch him. Thankfully, he was the last act of the night & after his performance, you could return to the trailer you shared with him & rest your aching legs.

Before you were married, you & Jimmy had met a few years prior in Jupiter, Florida. You had ran away from a broken home & ran into Jimmy at the local diner.  At the time, you weren't considered a freak, but Jimmy gladly offered you the Freak Show as a place to stay, considering you were basically hopeless. During the few weeks spent at the Freak Show, you & Jimmy fell in love & you discovered your hidden talent of contortionism, allowing you to become a permanent member. That only allowed your love for one another to blossom & become stronger & before either of you knew it, you were married & expected to give birth to yours & Jimmy's first child any day now. Then, you would have two months alone with just Jimmy & your new baby before you had to return to your job as the Freak Show's contortionist. Elsa was nice enough to give you an entire year off so you could have a healthy pregnancy & some time to adjust to being a mother.

You smiled as you continued to watch your husband perform, still rubbing your tummy softly. Everything was peaceful & carefree, but not for long.

It took you a few moments to notice that something was seeping down your legs, but when you did, your heart immediately began to race. You already knew what it was, but you peeked down just to be sure, & confirmed what you already knew, "Shit! This can't he happening right now!" you quickly looked around backstage to find Ethel walking towards you. You made your way over to her as quick as you could, frantic, "Ethel oh my God my water just broke the baby's coming we need to leave for the hospital now."

Ethel stared at you in shock, "Right now? Are you sure?"

"Yes I'm sure! I need to go to the hospital!"

"Okay, honey, just calm down for a minute. I used to be a midwife so let me have a look," you reluctantly sat down in the nearest chair & Ethel lifted up your skirt, beginning to inspect you. After a few moments, she whistled, "Oh, we ain't got time to get to the hospital. This baby is coming right now."

"What?!" you shrieked in shock, "What do you mean the baby's coming already??"

"I mean that it's already crowning."

"Oh my God! What are we going to do?"

Ethel stood up & gently brought you to your feet, "I'll take you back to the trailer & you'll just have to give birth here, at the Freak Show. I'll have someone tell Jimmy as soon as he's done so he can be there," you found yourself nodding, knowing she was right. You would just have to have your baby here, right now.

"Okay," she carefully helped you walk back to yours & Jimmy's trailer. She helped you lie on the bed as she created a make-shift delivery room, allowing you some privacy as she got ready to deliver the baby. She made sure you were comfortable & helped you keep your breathing even.

"Darlin', I came as soon as I got the news. Do I need to take you to---what the Hell is going on in here?!" Jimmy barged in, completely shocked at the scene in front of him.

"Jimmy," you tried to calm him down, "I'm not going to make it to the hospital, so your Mom is going to just deliver our baby here."

He made a disgusted face, "You're going to pop our kid out---out of there?" he gestured to your bottom half, which was covered up so that only Ethel could see you.

"Um...yeah??"

Ethel looked up at you apologetically, "You'll have to excuse me, I never really got the chance to explain child birth to Jimmy," she turned to Jimmy, "but that's not important right now. What's important right now is that you get your ass over to your wife because she is going to be in excruciating pain for at least the next few hours," Jimmy didn't need to be told twice & he quickly made his way over to your side. He kissed you gently & brushed your hair out of your eyes as he gently grabbed one of your hands.

He flashed you a worried, but kind smile, "You know, the whole show is worried about you."

You raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

"Yeah; they're all waitin' outside the trailer."

You couldn't help but laugh, "I'm not surprised," a contraction rolled through you & you sucked in a breath, holding onto Jimmy's hand tightly.

"Alright, sweetie; it's time to push," Jimmy did his best to make sure you were as comfortable as possible as you slowly but gradually, went into labor. The whole ordeal ended up taking several hours & by six am the next day, you welcomed a healthy baby girl to the Darling family. Ethel cleaned up your baby as Jimmy showered your face with kisses, hugging you gently & whispering soothing words into your ear, "Here she is, your new daughter," Jimmy turned towards his mother, who was smiling and holding her granddaughter. Jimmy broke out into a huge smile & went to pick up his daughter, taking her into his arms & cradling her.

He looked down at her & his smile seemed to grow even more, "Hi," he said simply, marvelling at the dark brown eyes that stared up at him. She looked so much like you, aside from her eye color & nose, which she got from Jimmy. He sniffled a bit as he began to tear up, "My baby gal...she's so beautiful."

"Like her dad," you piped up, making Jimmy smile his crinkly-eyed smile & blush softly. You smiled at your husband & daughter, your heart swelling with joy. You couldn't have asked for a better gift, "What are we going to name her?" you asked him, realizing you never really decided on a name.

"What about...Daisy?" you grinned, knowing that Daisies were Jimmy's favorite flower & that his daughter would end up being the most precious daisy of them all.

"It's perfect. Daisy Darling..." you tried it out, which only made you love the name even more.

Jimmy turned to you & kissed you gently, "I love you, so much," he breathed.

You smiled & kissed him back, "I love you, too."

He turned & kissed Daisy's forehead, whispering, "And I love you, too."
