Thirty one

Lia's POV
I have the worst headache ever.
"What the fuck?" Rocco says and I sit up. I'm on him again naked again.

"Lia. If this isn't a sign then I don't know what is." He says.
"I know! But we can't be together. What about the team? What about if we break up and people start spreading shit. Or if we break the team up and you live in my house do you know how awkward that would be?" I shout.

"So your worried about what people would think?" He asks.
"No. Yes. I don't know. But all I know hockey and figure skating comes first and I will not have you mess that up for me." I tell him and he looked actually mad.

"So you think if you date me I'd fuck it up?!"
"I'm saying if I date anyone they will mess it up." I explain.
"Lia actually get out. We will talk about this later." That's fine by me.

I picked up my clothes and put my underwear on before leaving.
I went to have a shower and I decided to put on some yoga shorts and top and grabbed both of my skates before heading to the ice rink.

I put my figure skates on and just focus on my tricks. It took some time before I did manage to spin fast enough with my foot about my head.

"I want to do that!" I hear Sami say jumping on the ice.
Trying to spin.
"We have an away game on Monday and instead of making you work hard we are just having fun on the ice." Coach says.

"Maybe Lia could teach figure skating. Get to watch a bunch of boys fall over." I laugh and nod as they get their skates on.

"Sami can you skate backwards?" I ask and she nods skating backwards very slowly.

"It's ok. You are going to help me." I pick her up and get ready to spin.
"Are you ready?" She nods and I start of skating slowly slowly getting faster until I'm spinning really fast holding Sami.

She started leaning back and I couldn't pull her in. So I had to skate out of this.
"Was that fun?" She nods as I put her down.

"Right. If girls can do this we can." I hear half the team say.
"It's not easy." I tell them.
"It really isn't." Liam adds.

"You did figure skating?"
"I was Lia's partner for 6 years. Then I gave it up because I thought it was gay." I shook my head.

"What really happened is that people started to call him gay so he quit." I told them and they laughed.

"Right. Now I'd say warm up like me but you guys can't spin so skate around elegantly. Like your floating on the ice." I shouldn't be laughing but watching the boys try and skate like they were princesses was funny.

"Guys Sami is doing better than you and she 3x younger than you" I tell them.
"She's a girl." Half of them shout.
"Ok let's do what half of you should do." I stopped them.

"Get into a space and I'm going to teach you how to spin. With two feet. But Liam do you want to show them first?" I ask.

"Haven't done in a long time but yeah." He skated out and backwards before spinning fast and coming out of it.

The team claps.
"That is really hard with hockey skates."
"It would be a lot harder in hockey skates but it's funny."

It was so funny to see the boys continuously falling over.
"So is figure skating easy?" I ask them.
"Oh god no." I hear Felix say as he falls over again.
"My work here has been done." We look over at coach and he was in stitches.

"This has to be the best hockey practice I've ever seen." He laugh and the boy looked insulted but I just laughed with him.

"Right I will see you bright and early Monday morning."

I drove home and went up to my room trying to avoid Rocco as much as possible but trapping myself in my room wasn't smart.

"I've come to talk to you." He walks in my room.
"Well maybe I don't want to talk to you." I say but he shuts the door anyway.

"Why don't you want there to be an us?" He asks.
"Oh god you sound desperate." I say.
"I'm not desperate. Answer the question."
"Because there can't be an us. Think about the team. Think about what coach would think. What about all the rumours? It can't happen." I shout at him.

"So your insure?"
"No I'm not. I just don't need to be in a relationship."
"Yet you kiss me and we do stuff but yet you can't be in a relationship. That's stupid."
"Rocco. I don't want to date you! Get it through your head!" I shout standing up.

"No you think you can't. But you can. Who cares what other people think." He shouts back.
"I don't want to date you!"
"But yet you skate with my heart over and over again! You skate over it again and again and you have. No remorse!"

That really pissed me off.
"I'm not the one that led you on. I don't want anything to do with you! I don't want to kiss you, I don't want to sleep with you. I don't even want to be friends with you!"  I screamed.

"If that's how you want it then fine! It's not like I want to fucking be here anyway!" He walk out but I wasn't done.

"Come back here we aren't finished!"
"Yes we are. You don't want anything to do with me. You've made that perfectly clear. All you do is think about you. Your a fucking selfish bitch! See I want to be with you and I'm not afraid in saying so. Everyone I love Lia Anderson! But because you can't think of anyone but yourself your not seeing the bigger picture. So I'm gone."

I'm not selfish.
"I'm not selfish! I care about everyone more then I care about myself. But for once when I stand up for what I want I get called out for it! Do you know what I want! I want a nice boyfriend or girlfriend that wouldn't hit me, that won't cheat on me, that won't take me for granted and that wouldn't hurt my feelings because time and time again I've just been played with and I'm fucking tired of it." I cried shouting my point across.

"So you want to know why I won't date you? It's because I don't want to get hurt again! But oh no you know better and I'm a selfish fucking bitch!" I'm done I'm so fucking done with everyone seeing me as the problem.

I look down the stairs and everyone watching us fight.
"I'm done." I say before walking down the stairs pushing past everyone and getting into my car. Just keep driving. Go back in your own time.
